Here is My Destination - the impact of kyungsoo enlisting oh my :’) i keep coming back to this because it’s just so headcanon-y! basically predebut to non au til the moment of kyungsoo’s enlistment…it’s beaut

Prey Upon My Chains - hybrid au! like c’mon it’s 150k plus it’s minty-pixie and i’m gagging!

The Last of the Wilds - forest nymph kyungsoo and human jongin. kyungsoo lost his lover and was cursed by a witch and he hates humankind because of that. when a human who stumbles upon the small creek could see him, kyungsoo is shocked by how much this jongin looks like his deceased lover. i love this, it gives me a good heartache (happy ending!)

Two Sugars - this is such a gem! so sweet and kinky in the best way possible! the author regularly posts kaisoo drabbles (smutty or fluffy but many inspired by irl moments) too so make sure to check ‘em out!

Criminally Romantic - writer!soo and fanboy!nini who just caught kyungsoo’s attention with his sweet boyish charm and shyness uwu i loooove me slow relationship progress!

Push the Pedal Down - this is love shot kaisoo in their car in a nutshell…living their best life. i adore their characterization!!! wouldn’t say no to a sequel at all ;)

no need for amortentia - the hp au that i really enjoy! ravenclaw jongin and slytherin soo sounds like a perfect power couple ;)

What a sweet request!! There’s been so many amazing fics this year so this list was kinda hard to make without adding 30 fics lol but here it is, in no particular order, my fav kaisoo fics of 2019 so far!

Truth be told (I never was yours) - the fic that had me shook for days and made me cry myself to sleep ;;;;; a real gem, would reread 100 times again

lately all i want is you on top of me - /screaming/ ever since january ive been rereading this fic nonstop because i cant get over how perfect their relationship came to be. i love this so much. 10000000/10

Prey Upon My Chains - i mean did anyone really expect not to see this here :-) minty did it again ! 150k baby and every single word is worth the read. I had finals and stopped studying for this, and i’d do it again without hesitation. amazing experience

Two Sugars - yeeeeee im in love with jongin in this fic. he’s giving be bf goals vibes, big time. i loooveeee

Sucker - part 4 of jongnugget’s Heaven series, and my absolute fav!!!! i especially love the evolution of their relationship in this oneshot and the start of a “new life” together and im so sooftttt for kaisoo in this series

No Need For Amortentia - the hp au we didnt know we needed c: the start of their friendship really gets to me, it feels so cute and special!!! this is a gift for kaisoo and hp lovers like me

The Devil Wears Gucci - icOnic . this fic was started last year but got completed recently so it counts as 2019 because i said so ;) i mean the idea is basically genius??? iconic movie + iconic pairing + iconic writer = iconic fic enough said read it if you havent the smut is also iconic

Sizing Up - i Love this so Much. i love jongin and how sweet and caring he is towards soo. also the smut ofc. yes :-)

The Deflowering of Do Kyungsoo - AAAAAA one of my recent coup de cœur!! a lot of feelings and emotions have been put into this fic and i feel like it hits really close to home to so many of us, and i love it for that.

Storm in a Teacup - where do i even begin,,,,,, WE NEED MORE VAMPIRE!AU!!! this is THE BEST vampire!au i’ve EVER read TRUST ME :D ok but for real Nini is so precious in this my feels ;;

Paper Mâché - i mean do i even need to explain myself?? this is a classic wow who doesnt love this fic

Hurricanes - holy hell this is the epitome of underrated!! bad boy jong this time, although soo isn’t innocent he’s unsure whether he wants to get involved with jong or not... kind of angsty :o

Yes, Alpha - wolf!au with alpha jongin and omega soo. lmfao this isn’t even finished yet but???? i love it so much????? i can’t NOT include it in my favs indigomini is such a queen!!

Love Me Right - another classic! college!au where soo joins the football team and nini is the quarterback and baekyeol are just unnecessarily annoying :-)

Treacherous - college!au again (can’t you tell it’s my one of my fav aus lol), kaisoo are in a secret relationship because their bffs baekyeol *hate* each other :P it’s very smutty too so i like

summer, 21 - medical school!au, jongin is supposed to look over patient do kyungsoo during the summer, who is dying. i think that’s enough explanation :-))))) i love this so much and now i have to go cry about it bYE.

Interning - the twelve boys all meet through an internship where they’re a team that have to compete against the other teams of the internship. ‘traditional’ ot12 pairings, rom-com, my favorite ot12 fic ever, i love the humor in this so much!! kaisoo are so goals in this ;_;

Let’s Camp - highschool!au, the boys go camping with their teacher the sexy junmyeon and /wow/ everyone gets together!! it’s so fluffy!!

Revolution - we all love a legendary fic!! mama!au, the boys are taken against their will into an alien laboratory where scientists experiment on them to develop their powers *^* so much angst but so so so good

A Misguided and Unnecessarily Long Galactic Odyssey to Earth - excuse the long title lol, this fic is 808k words. OH BOY i couldn’t get enough!! this has to be one of the better written fics i’ve ever read in my life. ot12 space!au, IT IS SIMPLY AMAZING! the characterization??? the action??? tHE MIND OF THE AUTHOR???? totally worth it. i read it in 2 weeks jsjs

Fix You - [baekyeol] can you hear me sobbing in the back already TT i cried so much reading this, why am i so weak :( hospital!au? kinda, chan is ill and baek was supposed to entertain him during his last weeks in the hospital ;(

I read a lot and I love a lot and this was sooooo hard T.T Since I’m a big fan of everything supernatural/ sci-fi and also historic/ royalty, you’ll probably find a lot of those in this list (/.\) I hope you like them, tho!!

Once I Rose (Above the Noise and Confusion) [Season 1] - I only watched like one season of Supernatural, but this made me want to binge-watch all seasons!

Close to home - everyone needs some Sci-fi smut in their lives, especially when Jongin is searching for the best dick in the universe and Kyungsoo is relationship goals ;)

Garnet hearts - heart wrenching beautiful royalty!au fanfic, which made me almost fail my finals, because I just couldn’t stop reading this piece of art ;-;

No buts, just beauty - ABO!au that makes you want to fight everyone and everything, who dares to say something wrong about Kyungie (ง'̀-'́)ง

Marooned - another pirate!au that gives you some heavy Pirates of the Caribbean feels, completed with the best mix of Hurt/Comfort and a just as great sequel

The Stars, Our Saviour - Sci-fi!Au with lost prince Soo and ex-boyfriends Kaisoo and an ending that is just satisfying~

One Wish - greek mythology!au... this was written for me during a secret santa fic exchange and I loved it soooo much. I’m probaly a bit biased, but this fic didn’t get the attention it should have had!

Kastrating Kai - exactly my type of humor XD Kaisoo as childish rivals written from Kyungsoo’s POV

A Misguided and Unnecessarily Long Galactic Odyssey to Earth - a gigantic masterpiece of sci-fi that made me wait every goddamn Saturday for an update, but now it’s completed and you won’t have to wait to read this good stuff ;)

Black Magic - dragon!au that reminded me a bit of Trudy Canavan’s The Black Magician and combined with dragon’s, this was bound to become one of my favourites!

The last Avatar - The Last Airbender and Eragon remix with super adorable Kaisoo? Can you wish for more? Also with a Sequel, but it hasn’t been updated in forever T.T

Queer and Proud - My first fanfic I’ve read on aff and ultimately the one that made me fall for Kaisoo (/.\)

so in general we check for spelling in grammar before reccing a fic on kfr. ^^ but some do have better grammar than others and in general i would look at authors more than fics? i.e. if one fic is really good you can bet other fics by that author also have A+ grammar. so i will avoid listing more than one fic per author here!
