SPACES, emotional geographies... in dealing with the relationship between emotions and physical spaces, the individual experiences are usually on different perpetual levels, like sensory space of embodied experiences where the individual reaction/response is influenced by visual, auditory, taste and smell stimuli. "Spaces" was the umbrella theme for the FRAMEWALK Cross-cultural workshop in Accra last week. Participants from Ghana, Nigeria and Germany explored the theme through music, dance and theatre. Selected spaces like the 37 bus station, Marina Mall, and Estate, a slum settlement near the police baracks were researched by the participants and instructors, and used as a foundation for creating performances based on the theme. After the five days workshop, the works created were exhibited to the public at the Alliance Francaise Amphitheater.
