New Work for my upcoming solo at Gallery 924, “Chingona”. My initial theme was based on the implications of feminicide, however, because of the trauma I have experienced in my life, I felt I needed to create strong chingonas to inspire me and continue to guide me through my healing journey. Chingona is dedicated to the strong women in my family who have taught me to voice and stand up for what I believe, to create change and empower.
