2) Who's your OCs best friend? How did they become best friends?

Valyrie - valyrie is very much not the type to make friends. she lives a lonely life and doesnt really know how to interact with somebody in a casual setting. the closest she has is elyria, which. whew.

Nest - im honestly not sure at this point. i wouldve had an answer before but now that she's been co-opted by the theocracy story i need to rethink her backstory somewhat.

Adela - you *know* adela doesnt have friends.

5) Do you ship your OC with a Canon character? If so who?

all my ocs are canon characters to their own universes. but i do ship some of them

Valyrie - she gets shipped with elyria at first bc i thought it would be funny to annoy her but the more i think about it the more i really love it

Nest - technically she has 3 possible heroines but my favourite ship is her with Lucia bc of how horrible and toxic it is

6) If your OC is in a fantasy setting, what profession would they be in the modern day?

Valyrie - mmmmmm. harangued secretary who hates her fucking job so much

Nest - god. nest is a fuckin, trust fund kid whittling away her parents' money getting picked up at lesbian bars by worryingly older women. she has a shitty minimum wage part time job she constantly bitches about bc she wants to feel independent but she's still absolutely living on her parents' money.

Adela - leader of a civil rights group advocating for violent revolution.

8) What hobbies does your OC have? What do they do to unwind?

Valyrie - i dont think valyrie unwinds. i think she smokes.

Nest - nest finds it really therapeutic to like. practice the basics of her various skillsets. going through sword forms, repeating basic cantrips and such. she likes to retreat into some secluded place and just do the same thing over and over again

Adela - modern adela isnt allowed to have hobbies. i guess scheming counts. and plotting. original adela i think liked doing things with her hands. weaving stuff out of wildflowers and such.

9) How does your OC handle their physical health? Do they take care of themselves?

Valyrie - i dont think valyrie [takes care of herself]. i think she smokes.

Nest - nest makes sure to stay active, i would say. she works out. she eats a lot.

Adela - shes a corpse so she doesnt really do anything to take care of herself. before everything happened, she kind of just lived normally without thinking of much out of the ordinary, but after her revolution began she wouldve started training for combat.

10) How does your OC handle their mental health? Do they take care of themselves?

Nest - nest's aforementioned hobbies provide her with time to clear her mind and sort out her thoughts. beyond that, there's always getting into fistfights at bars.

Adela - adela is straight up a cursed entity with a broken mind. in the before times she sort of channeled her rage into rebellion, and prior to that she had a support network of family and friends she could rely on.

11) What was your inspiration for your OC?

Valyrie - literally a carbon copy of menou virginroad. and then i made her hot and trans

Nest - yknow that art that goes around sometimes of a cute battle-scarred ginger swordswoman in a tank top? her.

Adela - i was reading discworld Witches Abroad and theres a bit in there about granny weatherwax being essentially a bad person who's got no choice but to do good things, and i was like. what a fascinating characterisation. what if i made a character out of that but made it way more shitty and heavy-handed? her visual inspiration as a corpse was laudna criticalrole, and as the witch of the veil it was laplace sexiled. and her revolution arc is inspired heavily by squealer shinsekaiyori

12) Does your OC interact with other people's OC? If so, who's their best OC friend?

hmm... i dont think any of these three interact with other people's OCs.

23) Is your OC reliable? Can I call them up at two in the morning if I have a flat tire?

Valyrie - if you're like, in her good graces? yeah absolutely. she'll bitch and moan about it but she'll show up and take care of things.

Nest - nest lives to be a beautiful older woman's loyal knight. if she thinks she'll score with you she'd drop everything to come change your tire. and otherwise honestly she would still come even without the ulterior motives if she's free.

Adela - you'd have to ask her handler. as the witch, no absolutely not. as a revolutionary, she would 100%.

24) Can they play any instruments? If so, what do they play?

alone: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?

Valyrie - she is frequently lonely. she is alone basically all the time. she doesn't really change the way she acts except that she relaxes a bit. but not very much.

Nest - i dont think nest likes loneliness. she probably doesn't realise this much herself but being alone makes her kind of retreat into herself. she gets really quiet and kind of loses her edge. it takes her a bit to get back into her aggressive persona when people come around.

Adela - adela has a weird relationship with loneliness. during her reign as the witch of the veil, she wasnt ever lonely because of her cursed items that constantly whispered in her head. now that she's resurrected, she's essentially alone all the time even when people are around because she doesn't have her cursed items. she hates it and shes desperate to get them back

break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?

Valyrie - i think if she found out the truth of whos responsible for her birth family's death, that would come pretty much the closest. she's already a machine made for vengeance, but now she has a target and wont be stopped. nobody's seen her there yet because it hasnt happened. as far as the lowest she's actually been, probably when she was orphaned? she kind of just shut down and did whatever she was ordered to do by the people from the church who took her in.

Nest - god what would break nest. its so hard to say because nest is gonna fuckin go Through it in her story and i dont think she actually breaks down for any of it. its more a slow descent into acceptance of her increasingly bad lot.

Adela - shes fuckin always at her lowest bestie she's hanging on with nothing but pure hatred and insanity. previously though i think the thing that pushes her to her lowest is being unable to make meaningful progress in her revolution.

fear: What is your OC's greatest fear? What do they do when confronted with it? Are they open with their fear, or do they hide it away?

Valyrie - valyrie's greatest fear is being discarded. she deals with this by refusing to get close to anyone so no one can throw her away, and by overworking herself so she's invaluable to those who already have her. she would never in her entire fucking life admit to any of this.

Nest - what the hell does nest fear... nest fears losing those they love. they want to be strong enough to be a protector so that when they love somebody, whoever it is, they'll be able to shield them from harm no matter what. once again, would never admit this publicly.

Adela - adela fears the silence. its so quiet without the voices of her cursed artifacts in her head that she cant stand it. she's going mad. she mutters to herself and responds to imaginary questions she hasn't been asked. she isn't *open* about this fear but it's quite obvious from the things shes saying. prior to this, as the witch she feared nothing, and as a revolutionary she feared losing everything again

future: What's the worst possible future for your OC? Are they taking steps to avoid that outcome? Are they even aware it's a possibility?

Valyrie - i think the worst thing would be never having a target for her revenge. if she wasted her whole life trying to pay back the shit shes been put through and never manages to do anything but spin her wheels until she dies. she's of course trying to avoid it by finding out whos responsible for her orphaning, but yaknow.

Nest - things are going to happen to nest that make her idea of the worst future look like a kid crying over the wrong colour birthday present. and she is barreling towards them at a hundred miles and hour because she has no idea. basically the worst future is that her need to be someone's knight gets manipulated to make her into a monster, or at the very least a monster's dog.

Adela - literally shes going through the worst future. she's dead and her corpse is getting dragged around by a kind of assholeish priestess who keeps smoking cigarettes to deal with her problems the stench of rot. she failed in her revolution and shes being paraded around like a circus attraction by the patrons of the god she tried to overthrow. she cant even do anything about it.

ghost: Who or what haunts your OC? What happened? How do they live with their ghosts?

Valyrie - i dont think shes sentimental enough to get haunted by the ghosts of people she's assassinated, but in a more conceptual manner she's haunted by elyria and her dead family. for her family she tries to get revenge. for elyria she tries to ignore her and fails. or gets drunk and fucks her until she cant be annoying anymore.

Nest - this i think ties in with the best friends question. im not sure exactly what happened, but i think she failed to protect someone and now deals with it by idealising knighthood.

Adela - its hard to say if she's the most haunted creature on earth or if she desperately wishes she was haunted at all. i dont think theres a difference for her. she lives with it because she has no choice.

heartbreak: Have they ever had a relationship that ended badly? Experienced some other kind of heartbreak? What happened?

Valyrie - i think valyrie has dated girls before, as a sort of outlet for stress. it ends badly every time because she's emotionally unavailable and the feeling of danger that makes her hot in a bar also makes her uncomfortable to be around in any more intimate setting. even if youre into knifeplay, she's just gonna keep being a little scary after you're done, yknow? that and the girls she dates dont know how to deal with the fact that she has no genitalia and isnt comfortable getting naked or being touched below the waist.

Nest - i think nest has never dated anyone yet. but she's lost friends, probably. due to them dying.

Adela - no relationships for the whipped dog, i think. none she can remember, at least. she experienced some level of heartbreak before the revolution, which was the inciting incident basically.

midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

Valyrie - god you know valyrie has nightmares. long-term abuse from the church and the lingering ache of the scar between her legs. getting to sleep is no problem, but when she wakes up too early to start the day, she'll have a shot or two of whiskey and sit outside with a cigarette to see if she can induce enough drowsiness to get back to sleep. sometimes it works.

Nest - i dont think nest has really any of these in enough quantities to affect sleep. she's out like a fucking light and snoring. if she does find herself up, she's probably going through sword forms again.

Adela - does the corpse sleep? i think probably not. she hates the night, though. its too quiet. she talks to herself until she gets kicked out of the room so valyrie can sleep. prior to acquiring the cursed artifacts, she'd wake up in the middle of the night worrying about the revolution and spend a few hours sitting at a desk going over strategy or just mulling things over and spiraling because she's out of her depth.

secret: What's one secret your OC never wants anyone to know about them?

Valyrie - does she have any secrets? uhhh. well she does keep it under wraps that shes an assassin. i think the real secret though is that she actually cares about elyria a lot.

Nest - i think nest doesnt want people to know she's nobility. she doesnt come off as well-bred but like. yaknow. theres a kind of conceptual stink on her.
