Can I request number 6, ‘you’re making that face again…’ with Blue and/or Vio? I absolutely adore that duo, and feel they could use more bonding. I mean, if that’s alright with you, first and foremost!
The blorbos >:) ofc it's gonna be Blue AND Vio >:) though I forgot the prompt list so idk if line continued or it's hurt comfort or not but here's fluff and crack
If it is one thing to note about them is that Blue has a very specific relationship with each hero and friend.
Red and Blue are known to be glued together, wherever one goes the other is right behind him. Green and Blue are known to complete each other in a way that they are each other's strength. Even Blue and Shadow are known for something and it's their constant nagging and roughhousing.
Though Vio and Blue?
They're known for being odd. Their opinions and personalities clash in a way where neither was wrong for it. Which.. makes their agreements a horrifying experience. Blue is known to go and be around crowds, something about hating being alone despite how he barely ever talks in these gatherings. Vio could notice his awkwardness from a mile away and he scoffs every time.
If Blue was right beside the captain in a gathering with well-known nobles, Vio would be outside away from the noise. If Blue was up early in the morning doing the dishes for some damn reason, Vio would be just heading to bed after setting a mug in the sink. He enjoys cleaning, and Vio enjoys not taking responsibility- jokes. That was a joke. He is the most accountable person ever and owns up to it-
Anyway.
Point is.. they clash and balance depending on the time of day. It's either their greatest strength or worst weakness. That was their reputation and Blue liked it! He takes joy in knowing they oppose one another! It makes things interesting!
Which is why they must never ever EVER find out about this little hangout of theirs. They won't ever hear the end of it!
The hangout? Their little bookclub that consists of two individuals and an occasional cat?
Now look.. for Blue's sake, he does not want anyone outside these walls of the study room to hear about his ramblings about why these books about science and history are the best ever (except for Vio) because apparently he doesn't want to acknowledge he did a complete 180 as soon as he found a good book.
For Vio though? He doesn't really care, he would invite them but he knows Blue would die and never show up again and since he enjoys his reactions and debates, he just.. teases that he would invite someone. Just to scare him and watch him throw the book and try to scramble away. It's funny to him.
Which is what makes these hangout way way funnier to him.
"Ah.. Blue?" he starts, almost innocently except for the smug smile on his face.
Blue, who has a scowl on his face so stretched that it was almost uncanny, snaps a glare at him. Eyes blazing with fury along with his red face as he holds the book Vio chosen for him, one that is very on the nose on its genre based on the cover.
"What." he manages to get out through his clenched jaw that Vio just grins at.
Now look.. here is the issue.
Vio takes Blue to the library to return and buy books with, and on the way they agreed on the types. Blue will get one of those 'horrible annoying excuse of a romance story' that Vio recommends and Vio will pick up one of his 'oh so great scientific ground breaking discovery-' and long rambles of why his genre is better (it is not but whatever)
Except here is the thing. Vio didn't mention to him that he wants to read the book at the library until they found both books and he knows Blue won't back out at all due to his prideful front and refusal to get 'scared' of a 'stupid book with stupid people who don't even have good chemistry!' His excuse for their change of plans was that he missed the library and wanted to later wander but knew Blue was busy so it's best to have their mini meet up there.
His actual reason is because he got bored and wanted to mess with Blue's fear of being perceived but that's besides the case-
"You did not read a single page." he points out bluntly. To which Blue scoffs as he reveals the book and shows him the back cover that he was staring at. "There! That's one! I did!" he hisses in a hushed voice.
For his sake, Vio did take them to a corner spot that had few seats at. Away from the entry and people just so Blue doesn't actually run off.
Vio flips through his book, something he would be seen with and not questioned for. He had a reputation apparently that since he was 'quieter' he was one of the 'smarter' ones and while yes he won't deny it. People are mistaking his ability to adapt as being smart. The truth is that he is absolutely horrible at these things, it's his quick thinking that saves him.
But he won't let them know that. He won't mind fueling that deception and pretend. It's not really his fault if people assume things about him! He just.. doesn't confirm it! That's all!
Anyway, this makes his situation easier. Boring? Yes. But much easier since it fuels the lie that he is smart because who else would bother read about science and all?
But back to the main point! These books are boring! There's no drama! No horrible one-liners! Nothing entertaining!
Which was why he decided for a change and got Blue to stay at the library with him. If he's gonna die from boredom, might as well create some entertainment!
That's why he sits criss-crossed on the floor just in front of Blue, leaning against a shelf. Blue did almost go for the seat before seeing Vio choose the floor and joined, his excuse was that so Vio didn't feel alone though Vio noted the subtle ear twitch. Telltale signs of his attempts at lying.
Though when Blue shifted and sat with his knees to his chest and his body hunched in an uncomfortable reading position. Vio knew then that it is an attempt to hide as if he wasn't already off.
"Come on. It isn't that bad." he snickers and Blue rolls his eyes and read the synopsis in a horrified voice. His voice shaking as he gripped the book that he is almost worried he would rip it apart.
The story isn't horrible! It's a tale of a florist and a baker who had a meet-cute and filled to the brim cheesy flirts and many many puns that Vio rolled his eyes at.
He chose it for two reasons. He knows every cheesy scene will kill Blue and make him shrivel up and die right in front of him.
And the second reason is that he likes puns. His obnoxiously loud laugh at Green's puns had to be real. No one would fake laugh like that. Especially Blue.
"Vio I hate them."
"Come on it isn't that bad."
It was.
"Her name is Rosie. She's a florist. Are you kidding me."
"... Your point?" Vio asks innocently and Blue groans and tries to kick him. Vio snickers at the reaction.
Eventually, he does hear a page flip. He glances up from his book to see Blue's face, an expression so forced so strained it had to be painful as he read the chapter title.
His gaze narrows as he glances up with an unamused look.
"What?" he asks, trying to bite back his laugh.
"... the chapter title is a flower pun."
All of them were.
"I know. Funny right?" he asks on purpose, observing him.
"... No it isn't."
His ear twitchs, Vio noticed it twitch. He got what he wanted. Blue continued to read and every now and then, he would glance up to see an exaggerated look on the other. A reaction that had to be purposefully exaggerated.
Though he notices two things. One is where he does look in pain as if it pains him to read the fake dating trope with the baker and florist.
Though the other reaction.. he couldn't place his finger on it. There was a twitch on his lips, a scowl that was forced but not in a dramatic way. He pairs it with the skimming eyes and flipping of pages.
Then it slows and he would stare at it dumbfounded and reread it (he assumes?)
"Ah.. Blue?"
Blue, who seemed too focused, snaps back to reality with eyes wide like a deer in surprise. "Uh yeah? You found it interesting?" he asks instantly, referring to the science book. Ah. He forgot he had to read too... oops?
"Yes. I wanted to ask if you're alright?" he asks, this time genuinely curious over Blue's thoughts than to tease him.
"Yes I'm okay. I'm annoyed though."
His ear doesn't twitch. Hm.
"Why?"
".. I'll tell you about it later." Blue mutters before going back to reading. Vio assumes it was just to get it done.
A couple of glances again and the expression was back. This time Vio didn't wait as he points it out. "You're making that face again." he says, bluntly.
Blue jumped, closing the book though his finger was still in it as he snaps to look at him. "What face?!" he hisses.
Vio stares for a minute before spelling it out. "You're clearly having strong opinions. It isn't like you to stay quiet and not give me your thoughts on it." he says.
"Maybe cause I don't want to be heard?!"
"Unlikely. It never stopped your complaining." he retorts.
Then for a long staring match, Blue sighs in defeat as he shuffled to sit right next to him and whispers. "It's stupid. It's cute. I hate them. They're funny. Why are they taking so long to be together. Their pining is painful and I'm eating it up. Can you shut up and let me finish and pretend this never happened?!" he hisses into his ear before going back to reading.
Vio, smug as ever, grins and goes back to reading his book. "Glad you agree." he whispers back, "... But I won't let you pretend it never happened." he jokes, just to watch Blue react violently with the book getting thrown and him getting up with a 'IM LEAVING' followed by Vio running after him with a laugh, leaving the two books aside just to chase his friend.
Of course he would let him pretend this never happened.

It didn't sit right with him. They were weird. All of them were acting weird.
Green seemed extra cheesy, singing praises day and night whenever he sees him. It didn't sit right with him.
Does he praise everyone? Why is he being so stupid?!
"You're being weird." Blue huffed with a deadpan voice, lowering his sword. "What's with you?"
He could see the brief change in his demeanor, Green's smile seemed strained. Forced. He's nervous. He knows it.
"What?"
Blue narrowed his eyes, scowling in disapproval and his expression seemed to only make his leader sweat.
"You're too nice."
"Rude!"
"What gives?! Talk shit! anything!" Blue forced out. "Not that type of talk! We are trying to fight, remember?"
"I always praise my opponents though?"
Blue rolled his eyes, holding the sword out to the other. "You don't. Not with Vi or others.." he pointed out, pausing briefly before correcting himself quickly. "Except for Shadow but we all know he needs praise as if it's his oxygen." he rambled off.
Green's nervousness was no longer hidden as his ears bent down and he laughed awkwardly. "I guess I just like your reactions?"
The hothead raised an eyebrow, tilting his head. "What."
"You get nervous when praised and I find it dorky." Green admitted and Blue opened then closed his mouth, his ears perking up then bending down.
"Excuse me?! Don't say shit like that!" he forced out, voice cracking as he threw the sword on the floor and turned a full one-eighty to stomp away.
One thing Green knew for sure, the hothead's cheeks were colored red and it was very much dorky.

The next one to put him off was Vio. He was as weird if not even more.
Not the bookworm grabbing his wrist and pulling him to the library.
"What do you want?!" the hero hissed as the quiet of them guided him to it. The violet hero didn't answer, instead he shot him a small smile.
Why is he smiling like that?!
It didn't sit right with him. Why is he invited? He never invites him.
"Well. I need your help."
He never asks for help.
"What is it." Blue grimaced. He didn't even ask or anything. His tone was more exhausted then genuinely seeking to help.
"Er…"
Vio pushed the door open and oh. This once organized library..
It was ugly. Horrible. A huge mess.
He loves it.
"I see why you need my help." he stared at the piles of books on one specific table. Scattered across and some on the floor. Even the towers seemed like they were seconds away from falling.
"What did you do.."
"I got carried away.. and you're the only one free enough to help me." Vio sighed, grabbing the hero's wrists. "If you help me, I swear I'll sleep earlier than usual." he promised and Blue narrowed his eyes.
"Sleep at one instead of dawn? Or sleeping minutes before sunrise."
"Sleeping at eleven."
"... Oh this is serious." Blue muttered and Vio nodded, whispering a quiet yet desperate "Help me?"
"I got nothing better do and since you will finally sleep.. well? Come on ya nerd." he huffed, yanking his hands free.
One stack after the other, they put the books back to their shelves. First they collected all of them, organized them, and carried each stack to the shelves. Whispering quietly to each other about anything and everything. They spoke of his latest stories to Blue's plans and interests. It was nice getting to talk about what he enjoys though.
That wasn't out of the ordinary though.. when they get paired to work together. They can settle their differences and petty arguments, making them an excellent efficient pair.
So it wasn't any different right now. He thought at least.
That is until he set the last book in, triumphant and proud as he grinned then turned to face the nerd to see him already smiling while watching him.
"What..?"
"Nothing." Vio grinned, "Just grateful you did help me." he said with a beaming smile. Why is he smiling like that?
"Okay you're being weird too."
"Too?"
Blue huffed. "Green was odd, he kept er.. saying nice things while we were sparring..?" he coughed awkwardly into his fist, covering his mouth a little but there was a little pink epread across his face.
"Oh?"
"Mhm.."
Vio hummed then he smirked as he nodded. "But Blue? Why are you so upset by it? Don't you like being told nice things?"
"Well– yeah! But it was obvious he was just messing with me." he muttered and Vio shook his head.
"Dumbass, Green wouldn't try to do it just to mess with you."
"Why not? He said it was dorky? Of course it was to mess with me!"
"Dorky doesn't mean that, idiot." Vio laughed, a mischievous grin on his face. "It means adorable. You do know that?"
Blue blinked then crossed his arms and scoffed, looking away. "So? That just proves it?" he grumbled and Vio shook his head.
"Nah, I do agree."
"Excuse me."
"It is adorable." he affirms and Blue opened then closed his mouth. "You lied to me." he squinted his eyes.
"You didn't want my help. What are you two doing."
"Of course I did need it. But that doesnt change my mind, I do agree with Green."
What the hell What the hell? Hello? What are they doing? What is this. They're definitely planning something. Why are they.. flattering him? What.
"Besides, did he say any lie? You do know you're a pretty great knight right?"
That was the last straw. They're definitely messing with him.
Blue gritted his teeth. "Shut up!" he hissed quietly, yet it was obvious he was minutes away from screaming.
"Why should I? Are you getting flustered oh great hero?"
Blue's eye twitched and before Vio could continue he turned his back and stomped away, his fingers in his ears as he shouts. "I don't hear you shut up!!"
It was obvious his ears were red though and Vio's grin only widened.
-
Those two were weird. He didn't like it. They're acting off.
Red is his safe bet. They grown comfortable together. He would help him and guide him through this mess he was dragged into.
"Are you busy." he asked yet it was obvious that no matter the answer, he wouldn't leave the hero.
Red nodded but his smile didn't leave him as he invites him in. Gesturing to the vacant chair as he writes in his notes before setting bottles away.
"What are you doing..?"
"Studying, I got a big magic examination next week. If I pass I might learn how to use light and shadow magic~! Great isn't it?"
Red beamed and Blue nodded slowly. The hero has been studying extra hard nowadays, the past months he rarely hung out and been working to get to the next level after mastering the magic rod and how to create effective potions.
Now he's been studying for both practical and his written exams, practical is when he will finally use his hands for magic rather than a tool like a wand or magic rod or even resources around him. His written exam will cover every spell and potion he mastered.
He was glad magic isn't his strongest suit. He saw his notes and books. He was terrified of it. He would die. It was a miracle to see Red so… happy with it cause he would have perished.
"Er… yeah sure anyway." Blue dismissed, an awkward smile on his face. He was glad Red didn't take offense to that, instead he smiled and carried on.
"Uh.. Red? Can I ask you something?"
"Hm?"
"What's up with Vi and Green?"
"Is something up with them?"
Blue stared at him with wide eyes and a scowl, if anything he looked offended by the hero's obliviousness.
"You.. you don't see it?"
"See what?"
Blue groaned and his head hit the table way too roughly, and before Red could call out and jump to his feet to check on him. Blue picked his head up, glared at him, then slammed his head back onto the table with more force that it caused the materials to shake slightly.
"You've got to be kidding me.." his voice was muffled yet Red could see his agony and frustrations.
"You okay?"
"They're being stupid!" he sat up straight, exclaiming loudly yet his voice held panic and so did his eyes. Staring at his hands "It's like they are trying to kill me!"
Red blinked as he set his quill down. "They're trying to kill you..? That won't do.." he muttered, his hands resting under his chin as he stared with wide eyes then asked with much more seriousness, Blue could tell he was only humoring him but he needs to talk and maybe if he hears him then he will actually act serious!
"What did they do?"
"They-.. They're messing with me.. They're acting way too nice I think they're trying to provoke me or they're hiding something." he mumbled.
"I'm betting they ruined one of my tunics.."
"Or they're just being nice..?"
Blue shook his head, stubborn with his belief as he muttered. "I'm calling it, something is up."
Red frowned then smiled softly. "Why do you think that..?"
"Cause– I don't know! They.. they don't do that ya know.."
"Do you want them to stop..?"
"Well.." Blue grumbled and shook his head. "I dunno! They're weird! It feels weird! It's nice but UGH I DON'T KNOW!"
"Berry you're such a softie, a simple compliment is ending you?" Red laughed and Blue groaned and hit his face again, if he keeps doing that he will surely get a bruise.
"I don't care! Why aren't they saying it to you or Zee or Erune or even Shadow?!" he yelled and Red laughed as he shook his head.
"Don't you want praise..?"
"I do! But! It's! Ugh it's complicated? Like it's nice but also I– idiots.. all of you." he muttered the last part out. Red's smile grew wide and he giggled again, covering his mouth before throwing his head back as he laughed.
"What are you laughing about?!"
"You're adorable, ya know that?" Red beamed, bringing his fingers and poking his cheeks. "Rosy red, that's what you look right now."
If he wasn't so red right now, he would be as pale as a poe at the realization Red was in on it as well and he shot up to his feet, glaring yet it didn't look as frightening with his flustered face. "You know?!"
"Know what?" he asked between each laugh.
"Why are you all saying adorable or dorky?! What the fuck?!?!"
"I don't know? You tell me? Why are you adorable?"
Blue glared at him, his eye twitching as he threw his hands up. "Traitor!"
"Love you too!"
-
First Green. Then Vio. Now the one person he trusts is also in on it. How dare they. He will figure it out and will get back on them.
He didn't even realize he was lost in his mind until someone snapped their fingers in front of him.
"Oi, you good?"
Blue glared at the shade and the princess. Zelda is smiling and she looks worried. She knows.
Shadow looked indifferent. He probably doesn't care.
He narrowed his eyes. "What are you talking about."
"You're blushing.." Zelda informed and Shadow nodded, adding quickly. "And lost in thought. You always pay attention. Something is up."
Blue's eyes bounced between them and his scowl didn't leave as he asked with a deadpanned, even exhausted voice. "You're in on it?"
"In on what?"
"If it's something fun, I'm sick and tired of being excluded!" Shadow grumbled, irritated that once again, the heroes had a thing going on and he wasn't part of the loop.
Blue pouted then groaned. "Green, Vio, and Red are being too nice. Always flattering and trying to get me involved in whatever activity. I can't go a minute without one of them appearing."
Shadow nodded slowly and Zelda let out a quiet 'Ooh?' at that.
"So.. you don't know anything about why?"
"Nope, not a clue."
"I do." Shadow grinned, "Red claimed you two are the closest and the other two turned it into a competition. Like Vio wasn't in on it but then got convinced cause he thought it would be a nice bonding experience and he's petty like that." he informed at once, not stopping despite the nudge the princess gave him.
"I wasn't here when they started. I thought it was unfair so I was referee until they kicked me out cause I was helping Red win." he nodded before adding a quick. "Look behind Vio's bookshelf they have a score on how many times they either flustered or cheered you up."
"Shadow!" Zelda finally hissed and the dark prince grinned.
"What? Vi stole my arson rights. It's payback time!"
Blue didn't answer them, instead he narrowed his eyes and gritted his teeth. "Oh? So that's why they're doing that?"
"The gig is up, they're not just acting. It wasn't a lie." Zelda sighed as she admitted it. "They gush behind your back as well, they just didn't want to use it all at once."
