So I´m starting out with an entirely true story. Seems like there´s no turning back now. :D

My husband made me a deal. In order for me to be a stay at home mom, I had to agree to some terms. I need to back up a bit here. When I was working, I worked most evenings, and sometimes well into the evening. It was not uncommon for me to work past closing, which was 8 pm. In the car business, if a customer hits the lot at 7:59, you leave when they leave, whether it's in a new car or their old one. This meant my husband usually had to make dinner for our kids, help them with homework, give them their bathes, and most nights, put them to bed. And he hated it. He hated the cooking. He hated the cocking so much it got to the point that he ordered pizza three nights per week. So the deal was this: No more cooking, no more cleaning, and we keep the lawn guy. That's it. He would find a way to pay the bills if dinner was on the table every night. Like the kids say, easy peasy lemon squeezy! So, I was rockin' the dinners like a pro! Every night at 5:10 dinner was on the table. Good stuff too. For like six weeks this went on. We went out with the in laws one time and that was it. Well, tonight I totally blew it. In my defense, our sink decided to detach from the counter and I had it reinstalled today, which meant I couldn't use the sink for anything, including meal prep. I knew I should have gone to the store and got something easy, like a tray of lasagna or something, but I didn't. I just didn't. I should have. When the old hubby got home, it was not good. He usually works through lunch and doesn't eat so when he gets home, he's HANGRY. Today was no different. He was hungry and there was no dinner. I said, well let's just go out. Except it's winter in Florida and restaurants are mob scenes until April, when the "snow birds" go back up north. Ok, now I've got a HANGRY hubby and hungry kids and a 45 minute wait at one of the only restaurants that my kids aren't louder than the ambiance. Bad to worse. We ended up leaving and going to Sonny's BBQ. Fortunately, it was all you can eat sliced pork for the HANGRY man! We ate and peace was restored. I didn't really think I would get sick of some of my SAHM duties, or just plain didn't wan t to do them. But, I do. My husband didn't think I would get sick of my SAHM duties, but he has learned the hard way that I do. When all was said and done at the end of the evening, and kids were in bed and hubby was in bed watching something, I promised him dinner would never be an issue again. He just smiled and said, "Well, tomorrow is Wednesday."
