Today was much better than yesterday.
Here’s why:
I bought a place setting of Fiesta, only to find out Lanny’s grandmother had bought me the same set as a belated birthday gift. So I went to return it for either a) another set, b) any other kitchen utensils we may need or c) our money back. Before I was about to give up on searching for something we absolutely needed for the house/kitchen, I came across these bowls. AND! They were 50% off. But at the register they were even cheaper! They’re super fun patterns and textured on the sides and I LOVE.
Also:
My sister helped me make cake balls for a party we’re hosting this weekend. I arrived at their house shortly before Addison’s bedtime. Apparently the agreement was she could stay up until I arrived, but then she had to go to bed. I walk in, give her some lovin’ and off she went. My sister goes to check on her, walks back in to the kitchen, smiling, and says “come look.” I follow her down the hall into Addison’s bedroom to find this sweet, little person asleep with favorite stuffed animal, Donkey, tucked under one arm and her book lying down on her chest. My heart. Addison looks so much older these days. But every now and then I see this tiny baby still. I love who she is becoming but I hate to see who she is leaving behind, too. Being her aunt brings me so much joy.
I also enjoyed spending time with my sister. It doesn’t happen often between both of our crazy schedules. Always guaranteed laughter until we cry and good story exchanging about life and work and our parents and everything else. I love my sister. She’s got a beautiful soul.
Today was a good day. I refused to let the off vibes bring me down.
I didn’t get my run in this evening. Time wouldn’t allow it. I’ll make it up sometime. Or I won’t.
It’s after midnight, so happy FriYAY!
