— Anaïs Nin.
The last thing I heard was the Darkling’s voice—so clear, like he was lying right next to me, his lips pressed against my ear, whispering so that only I could hear: Thank you.
( do you understand ? )
I want you to know my name. The name I was given, not the title I took for myself. Will you have it, Alina?
‘Yes’, I breathed.

chamber of secrets is an amazing book tho, it's so nice and fun to read and there's a perfect amount of humor and mystery plus there's a huge snake in it so it doesn't get cooler than that! I LOVE COS, definitely more than the overrated POA which everyone loves so deeply.
aaaah, i’m so glad i am not the only one who thinks that about COS, bc i agree on everything! plus, POA was kind of boring the first time i’ve read it. although i love sirius as a character, it didn’t grasp my attention as much as i would have liked it to. (however, the movie was good imo, def in my top 3)
