I will say it again, and again.
We are still in an ever changing world when it comes to how systems are viewed. We shape it by being who we are, sharing our experiences, and building these communities.
This is history, of a future where systems are accepted.
This is history of a future where systems of all origins can proudly proclaim it and have it be normal.
This is history of a future where being plural is an okay thing to be, and commonly known.
And when you see people saying how wrong it is this community has endogenic systems, when you see people saying we are a mockery of DID.
I think the mockery is when people look at DID and are either afraid of or laugh at it.
And that that mockery is not because of what DID is, not how they struggle, but simply because how dare anyone have multiple persons within them. Because it's different. Because it's broken.
And god, most of them don't even see us as people- again, regardless of origin- and yes, that includes some professionals. So we don't see ourselves as people? When we laugh, when we cry, when we enjoy things just as equally as those people.
And we listen to those idiots because apparently, we have to be strictly clinical. Apparently they're right, even though, god, they can't even fully respect us.
Origin shouldn't matter when the reason we are collectively opposed is because of what we collectively are. Yet it does, and god, does it remind me of being "poor representation of being trans."
The point is, I don't think our future is there. I think our future is still helping systems who have the struggles of DID/OSDD/PDID, but in a world where it's okay to be plural or singlet.
Where it's okay to want to be one person, it's okay to be multiple people.
I think our future is in a world where people can, in class, tell everyone who's in front today and be respected and addressed as that person.
Where at work, people can state who they are to their coworkers and it's respected and acknowledged.
And where this being a delusion is a far away memory.
So finally, to those insisting on being a "Sysmed,"
To those insisting on being "Anti-endo."
One day the future is going to damn laugh at your part of this history.
Because progression doesn't have time for hatred and closed minds.
So please, keep damn looking at our tags, keep yelling at it and within them. You're witnessing the beginnings of something close to what will be commonplace, one day, and I'm glad you get to be fucking in on it.
