We had a guest speaker come talk to us about Performance art. He was a performance artist himself. After the talk I was inspired to look at other South African performance artists. I chose to Look at Steven Cohen. As an individual he is everything that society my not look for in a man. By using his Gay, Jewish profile as a medium for performance art he tends to stand out more than a normal looking individual who does performance art. He doesn’t care about what people think about him, and he tries to stand out as much as possible. This has been a good source of inspiration for me to look at at the beginning of this adaptation project. It has taught me to embrace the challenges that i will choose to do, and take try get the most out of it.
