      “yeah,” he said, fingers interlacing with one another. “it didn’t take.”

it was more than that though; the deals he had to make were numerous. not to mention the plans that he had in motion. if richards found out he was still alive… that would cause far more problems than benefits. a reason to why vic wanted to keep the people that knew he was alive to a bare minimum, but it was clear that wasn’t going to happen. not with the wolverine knowing about this certain set of circumstances.

     “but the point of the matter is we both have a problem. a very… huge one. so, are you going to fight me or are we going to fix this?” 

either way, it would result in a fight; he knew that already, but he still wasn’t ready for one. he just wouldn’t admit that little piece of information to anyone. even more so to the wolverine. 

there were quite a few ways he could have answered the question. in-fact, he could have simply told the truth, but he doubted that it would have been taken at a face value. a reason to why he decided to start out small, and then work his way from there.

“i don’t want a fight.” a lie, ky had a good feeling he could come out on top if a fight called for it, but he didn’t think it was necessary. not when he could avoid it by simply playing along for the time being.

“i simply like it here.” it wasn’t exactly the truth, but not a lie either. not fully at least. “among other things… i don’t feel like going back home anytime soon.”

"ADMIT IT, ol' timer--" Rogue's voice called out to Logan, the teasing smirk on her lips a familiar one. He was more than a teammate, really. Of all of Xavier's students and projects over the years, he was the one she could never let go of. He had, after all, been one of the first in the X-Men to even consider trusting her. "--You missed me."

While she had shown her friend a bit of Jump City the last (and first) time they met, there was still a lot left to show Logan. So, when she met him once again, Starfire was delighted to have another chance to show him around.

They were close to the harbor, but after short thinking about it, the tamaranean decided that there wasn’t really anything to see, and a few words of explanation would likely be enough to cover that area. She pointed towards the area with its many piers, and started to explain: “There is the area of the harbor. I do not believe there is any important building or thing to see, unless you are interested in ships and houses for the storing of wares. My friends and I often patrol through the area, but I very much prefer-” Something had moved through the passageway that was visible from here, and even though it was far away, Starfire felt rather certain that she knew what she had seen, and it was surprising enough to make her abort her explanation mid-sentence and merely keep staring at the now empty passage in sight.

I’ve actually wanted to check those out. Never got around to it tho

I know that feeling! I never found the time to actually look up a way to watch them either, until I got the ‘chance’ of lying in bed for about a week without any energy to do much now xD
