I redid two of my tanks today and thus removed and measured two of them (the Chilobrachys dyscolus in the first and the Hysterocrates gigas in the next two)

C. dyscolus is a rather shy and flighty species - I have not actually seen this tarantula in literal years since the last time i swopped her enclosure (save for one or two occasions in which her little 'paws' poked out)

Surprisingly, the C. dyscolus was remarkly calm - my Grammostola rosea has, on occasion, been more aggressive with less provocation and my Brachypelma klaasi is regularly more defensive/aggressive.

(Note, the small tank the H. gigas is in was merely for the purpose of safe transport while I sorted out her actual, much larger tank)

I was slicing up some poultry breasts and ended up with some trimmings that i wasnt going to use

So i plainly cooked them to give them to the dogs as treats

So, i go to the motion of lifting my hand up to toss it to gucci and, before i had actually even lifted my hand up, she opened her mouth and stood with her head completely still, waiting for me to toss the duck into her mouth - she didnt even follow it with her eyes

(It bonked her on the forehead)
