my personal belief about DID is anyone with severe childhood trauma from before age 6 can definitely have it and it can remain dormant for many years or go in and out of dormancy throughout one’s life. also i believe full integration is probably more similar to permanent dormancy. i kinda feel like the damage done by trauma that causes DID is so severe that it can’t really be undone, it can only be managed.
