The Moon has been doing Her work on my mind lately.
It's when the world stops spinning and the stress of everyday life wears off that my mind snaps awake. Every fragile thought, however miniscule, will be brought into the light, and massacred. My mind is my greatest enemy. But my mind is me. I am the enemy.
6.30pm: The battle begins for a space on the KTM
Haha... So many people pushing, shoving and squeezing right, left and center to get onto the KTM. I won't fight with them la..
Oi. Why you look at me cos I laugh? Very funny ma.. We don't have world class infrastructure yet we still have third world mentality. But no choice kan? Its every man for himself.
So ironic that people pay taxes and still suffer the crush of getting home, the hours spent waiting in the heat for non-arriving trains. And we are the urban working class, who contribute a substantial share to the development of the Malaysian economy.
Hint hint: if you want us to vote for you, fix public transport issues!
Oh but I forget, we small fry probably don't contribute enough financially to warrant a remedy to our everyday woes. No... The electorate which matters are the ones screaming bloody murder over some history lesson. Not that history is unimportant. It is. And history also tells me that fixing public transport issues will always be on the backburner until we no longer take pride in "Malaysian time" and care enough about the environment to start providing an alternative to cars.
7.00pm: Train!!
Aiya. Stop pushing and shoving! Move back into the train la! So kesian... Got people cannot get out of the train lol. And I cannot get on again. Waited too far from the train door. Dammit. Need another strategy to get on the train.
The women's coach is too jam. Will try the mixed gender one.
8.00pm: Train!!
Ok, I think the train door will be near the blue line. Tembak la! Yay!! (More pushing and shoving ensues) Phew! Got on at last! =)
