It felt like I had only just fallen asleep when a series of heavy thuds reverberated on the door to my room. I was a little disoriented when my eyes finally opened, the numbers five-three-zero glowing in a neon green on the electronic clock beside the bed . As the knocking persisted I dragged myself from the bed to the door, my mind still in a groggy haze and flipped the lock,

“Jac- s’goin’ on-?”

“Good morning!” She exclaimed loudly with a bright grin, “I take it someone slept well. The bed’s in here are so comfortable I almost didn’t want to get up myself.”

Her voice felt like nails on a chalkboard. I closed my eyes and rubbed the bridge of my nose, only half-listening to what she was saying.

“Now, I need you in the living room in ten, no, make it five! Wouldn’t want to keep the beautiful Ms. Rabideau waiting.” She glanced down the hallway with a bright smile.

“Who-?”

“Oh, your styl-, no, prep worker. No,” She paused and tapped her chin, “Your beautician! She has been waiting to meet you all morning. But don’t worry, I’ve been keeping her busy, filling her in on all the details. You’re going to love her! Now, go on. Five minutes!” She dropped her volume to a whisper and leaned forward, “And do not make me look bad!”

“Hello, I’m Rodrick and you are a mess. If I am going to have any stake in this I need something from you.”

From me, I just met you and I have nothing to give. What in the world is he going to want from me? “Umm, sure what is it?”

With the sternest of faces and coldest of eyes he said, “I’m going to need you to not fuck this up. For me, for my assistant,” he nodded to the girl standing behind him, “or yourself. I am one of the greatest stylists in the Capitol and I am not going to let my name be besmirched by some kid who doesn’t know the difference between a toothbrush and a finger nail brush!”

I looked at the lady behind him for some sort of indication that he was kidding but got nothing as she kept filing her nails. I guess he was serious after all.

After Ophelia explained the possible riches and everything tied with winning the Game, I wasn’t here to mess around either. I had tasted luxury and I wasn’t going to let it go so easily.

After hours and hours of primping, exfoliating, and measuring they sat me down in a chair for my hair. I had grown accustomed to my hair so I was nervous but willing.

“Oh shit. Hey boss I accidentally dyed his hair red!” Yelled Ginger to Rodrick. He came running frantically from the other room mumbling something I didn’t understand. Once in the room she said “Just kidding. We’re actually all done here. What do you think boss?”

“I told you to call me Rodrick. And I like it. You didn’t take away his identity but still cleaned him up. Turn him around let him see.”

Daphne Selfe- Megaira Athans 

        Megaira has been in the fashion industry for almost 60 years. She is one of the most respected names of fashion. Using natural materials has been a bit of a trademark in her line of work, She specifically requested District Seven for a chance to show the beauty of their trade. 

Nigel Barker- Phileas Leva

        Phileas is a personal favorite of Megaira’s. He has mentored under her for the past 8 years. His first love has always been photography, and under her direction, he has learned to model and to see the potential in other beautiful people.

Charlize Theron- Ambrosia Drakos

A trio of eccentrics that knew each other before all of the wars began, by the end they only had each other and a list for something more than simply being civilians in a nearly ruined country. Instead they banded together to create a haven of opulence where they continued recruiting members until eventually they formed a school of people that the Capitol to rely on in turning the tributes that came through their hands from rocks to Diamonds and with that, the Capitol Prep School was formed.
