Phoebe enjoying the regal castle. Well, not really âenjoying,â actually. Sheâs up on the second floor, which is higher than sheâs ever been in her life. Up til now, sheâs seen staircases leading up and said âNo thank you.â Hard to say what made her decide to climb up to this balcony, but it must have been pretty incredible to pull that off.
I love this so much, just because so many other villagers comment on the lighthouse. But an uchi villager? Sheâs just mad that she canât sleep easily at night with that giant safety light keeping ships from smashing into the shore! She just wants TOTAL DARKNESS when she sleeps, you know?? That tent canât block that much light!
I can tell you with complete honesty that Iâve never had warm apple cider. Doesnât even sound all that good! I did once make some hard apple cider by buying several bags of apples, juicing them, adding yeast, and patiently waiting, though, and that turned out pretty well. I drank it at room temperature.
I only did it once, though, because dang it was a lot of work. Canât say I recommend it! Especially if youâre a kid! There are way easier ways to get booze. Unless youâre a kid! Then you shouldnât do it at all, even if though it really is super easy.
One fun thing about living with untreated ADHD growing up is that I would often put off large homework assignments until the last possible night and then stay up until 3 AM or even later trying to get it all finished. Once, in ninth grade, I told some other students that the 3.5-hour long period I spent one night working on something was half of forever. I thought it was obvious that I was joking with them, but they got upset and argued with me that half of forever canât actually be 3.5 hours, so I doubled down and insisted on it. The next day, they brought me âproofâ by telling me theyâd asked one of the math teachers about it and HE had said that half of infinity isnât 3.5 hours.
I learned a valuable lesson that day, but the damage to my reputation and everybodyâs opinion of me was irreversible. I am still friend with exactly zero of the people I went to high school with! This was not actually a fun story.

This is pretty much how I spend my free time on vacation, too. I waste time and worry about how Iâm wasting my time.
Of course, Phoebeâs vacation will last as long as I keep playing the game, but real vacations are finite, as is human life. Time spent on anything is time you canât ever get back. Donât spend too much time thinking about it, though.
A peppy and uchi animal talking about Motherâs Day.
I like the use of the phrase âhad meâ by Cheri, because itâs so much nicer than âgave birth to me.â That would be weird, right? People donât normally use that phrase. They just say âhad.â You âhaveâ a baby. And, if the baby is great, you can feel accomplished for doing so.
Phoebe, meanwhile, has a lazy mother who makes crafts out of the shells that she is given by her daughter. Wait, though; thatâs not lazy at all! Itâs crafty and kind of neat! Phoebe should be more proud of her mother.
This is a lot of wood, and a lot of fire, and I donât feel safe about this. Phoebe doesnât seem to mind, since she was BORN IN FIRE or... something, but thatâs not really something that makes ME feel any safer.
