Teaching tomorrow and I can't get over always feeling nervous. I've been teaching some of these kids for 4 years now and time it hits 7pm on Tuesdays I get the butterflies. Why? Because these are very talented individuals that can and have made my personal visions come to life... and they too can also decide to skip out and not perform under my instruction. Do I hold a gripe? No. Do I feel like a failure? Not at all! There has yet to be someone to tell me that my classes have produced NOTHING for them. As a person, as a student, as a teacher, ... as a dancer. I give my students more than just choreography, I also hope to teach them that theres more than just the moves and more than themselves on the stage. "My style" is putting meaning behind the moves.
