MWUAH THANK U KING!!! so i guess ill talk about - if you’re in tarrey town or are margo you might remember what im talking about, this book called the iron assassin that i got Really Upset About a bit ago? cause it sucked? yeah that

so like two whatevers ago i decided to rewrite it which i am not actually going to do because i really don’t care that much. also i took barely anything from the original book so. ANYWAY meet our two main characters!

first off we have jack, an idealistic young watchmaker chosen by lord project head who has no name because i dont care about him and also he dies. but jack was chosen both because he was good and because he was disposable, pretty much. he is so, so tired, and he is trying so so hard to be nice. but his fucking project head keeps stealing his work and taking the credit and when they wake the assassin in front of a bunch of lords it smashes lord project head’s skull like a grape. and he’s in such deep shit.

he’s also lowkey an antimonarchist cause he thinks that monarchies are. just fucking stupid as all hell, which is less than ideal, because the assassin was created to find and destroy enemies of the crown. oops?

next we have my girl séarlait, who if you couldn’t tell from the name is irish. she’s a seamstress who takes odd jobs to make the rent. she’s exhausted, cynical, and i cannot figure out how she makes it into the story i just know i need to have her here cause i love her to bits. shes another “enemy of the crown” (read: knows that the monarchy and all its assorted bullshit fuck over everyone they touch save perhaps the monarch and the people in bed with them)

she thinks that no matter how much things change, they’ll still stay the same because people are always going to be people (derogatory) and there will always be someone willing to step on someone else for money or power

im gonna include the assassin here even though i said there would be two main characters and even though i only have like . two ideas for the assassin

El tito me envió esta lista hace poco como reto para este año, yo la verdad y humildemente trataré de cumplir con uno por mes, pues no estan ustedes para saberlo pero el trabajo y las obligaciones paternales consumen mi tiempo sin piedad y sin miramientos. 8. when you want to dance

there's a LOT of songs that fit this but what immediately came to mind is fossa by daughter, even if it's not a super happy song, something abt the instrumental section near the end really gets me wanting to move...

12. to laugh

was fearing i'd have to really scoop my brains out for this one but then i remembered. big breakfast by tom cardy!!! i, too, empathize with the downfall that an overabundance of pride causes particularly in the department of consuming edible items 👍 and i also appreciate the gravitational, destiny-altering pull that a big breakfast can have on a simple mortal being
