After an awful pregnancy that he was able to endure thanks to Destan's support and love, Acheloo gave birth to Estela, the first red-haired in a long family of brown haired heirs.

She was her dads' princess, and they loved her very very much.

After her, came the twins Émile and Elmer, who were a pair of terrors and got on poor Acheloo's nerves everyday.

But they were a family, something they never expected they would be, and Destan and Acheloo felt the happiest sims in the world.

During a family vacation in Sulani, Destan Legacy met a lonely kid called Acheloo at the beach and they became inseparable the two days they spent together.

Sadly, Destan had to go back home and he wasn't able to properly say goodbye to him.

Destan spent the rest of his childhood and all his teenage years missing Sulani and Acheloo and started going out and sleeping around with random men.

He looked so miserable that his mother Iasmyn let him go to Sulani again with his same-aged aunt Morgana and some friends.

There, he felt happy again and even the spirits of the islands played with him.

Destan spent those days investigating the Mua Pel'am cave and, one night, he stumbled upon a merman, who kissed him and then left without saying a single word.

Destan decided to look for him with little success and, tired and hungry, was nearly going to eat some kelp he found in the cave, when someone stopped him from doing it.

Destan and Acheloo spent many happy years together.

Unfortunately, Acheloo still missed the sea like crazy, and during a family trip to Sulani so their children could meet their roots and Estela learned to accept her mermaid side, Destan told him he bought a house for them and they would move when the kids were old enough.

The day they moved to the Sulani house, Destan took the last step on his journey since the day he met Acheloo: he ate the mermaid kelp.

Destan turned into a merman and finally his life was complete.

Acheloo and Destan had a fourth daughter, Marceline, and spent the rest of their lives in Sulani, together and immortal thanks to Destan's grandpa Bloom.

The story of these two still makes me emotional to this day. Destan experimented the most important character development in this story (from a rebellious teenager who used men like tissues to a brave and loyal family man) and Acheloo is so beautiful inside and out, my precious merman, the perfect match for him.

Destan was back home but he felt depressed and missed Acheloo too much.

When he was nearly recovered, he decided to abandon his heir position and leave to Sulani to be with Acheloo, but he was surprised once again when, coming back from Morgana's wedding, he found Acheloo waiting at their front door.

He convinced his parents to let his fiancé stay and the two finally started living their romance like a normal and happy couple.

Destan was still adamant that he was not going to be heir, since he would not be able to have a biological child to continue the legacy, but soon life turned everything upside down...

After a romantic escapade for Love Day that ended with an accidental intoxication after eating a seafood dish, Acheloo got really sick. It lasted so long and Acheloo was getting weaker so quickly, that they thought something bad was happening to him and went to Sulani to find some answers with the help of the other mermaids.

They didn't find any answer and thought Acheloo was going to die from his illness, so they got married on a whim and Destan promised him to love him forever.

But Acheloo was not dying. He was just pregnant, and the newlywed couple got the shock of their lives when Acheloo's condition was revealed.

When Destan turned 18, he decided to become a conservationist and moved to Sulani to pursue his career and look for two people: Acheloo and the merman.

One day he was swimming around the islands, Destan found a seemingly abandoned shack, but to his surprise Acheloo appeared there, asking hin why he was at his house.

Then, Acheloo sang to him, making him faint, and left him again.

On New Year's Eve, feeling sad and lonely, Destan wandered through the beach, until he found a body lying near the shore.

It was the merman.

Destan accepted the help of some locals and took the merman to their house, but to his surprise, the merman turned into a human and he found himself with his old friend Acheloo in his arms.

When Acheloo woke up, he explained to him that he had been living since he was a child with an evil merman called Neptuno, and that he had managed to escape and avoid everyone until Neptuno's minions found him and attacked him that night. Neptuno was trying to turn humans into mermaids to control them and that was why Acheloo had stopped Destan from eating the mermaid kelp that day years ago.

Destan offered his help and asked Acheloo to move in with him to protect him, and Acheloo accepted, and thanked Destan with a second kiss.

They may be old but they still love each other like when they were young.
