When Saga moved again Doc applied the pressure, "You have thirty seconds before patient bleeds out on the table. Think, Saga. What do you do?"

He wasn’t going to complain about the pressure. He knew, knew he’d need to get damned used to hells of a lot of it if he ever wanted to get anywhere as a healer of any kind. If he couldn’t handle it, this wasn’t going to be the right line of work for him—but he wanted it to be. It was what he wanted to do.

So he wasn’t going to complain about the pressure, but that didn’t mean it didn’t get to him. He wasn’t exactly practiced. Yet.

Yet... But for now the reality was that Saga caught his lower lip between his teeth and bit on it a little too hard as he was challenged on whether the course of action he tried for was the right one. Was it?

...It wasn’t, was it?

Oh, what was he thinking... But he could beat himself up later. In the present he took exactly two seconds to breathe and steady himself before changing his course of action—with just enough pause to leave room for Semex to stop him again, after making it apparent what he was going to do, but... Gods, he would’ve bet his left arm he was on the correct course now.

Now, instead of from the beginning, but he was still learning, he couldn’t expect himself to get it all perfect and get it right on every first try... Right?

Wrong so many times over, but he could worry about that later. Stay. Focused.

Oh oof. If we keep this to FF14, like, I love all of my muses, but I’d still need to say that my straight up favorite is Saahe. He was the first, he’s my main, the one I’ve spent the most time with, and also the one shipped with my favorite NPC. What’s there not to love for me (and also out of my characters he has the most meaningful relationships with Angoul and Aelfrun, two of friend’s characters, which adds to it. I love ‘em all).

As for who hasn’t had an rp yet, that’d beeeeeeee Ash n Runa and Dzudzu n co.

Dzudzu I think is a bit more difficult character to interact with just because he’s so fickle that it’s hard to get anything meaningful going with him, and I do love meaningful. So for him I’d kinda hold off until I found the right person with the right character to write with so we could get something other than “was a good time, I shall now proceed to forget all about you!” on his part. I don’t really enjoy one-off threads; long-term story-building is what I’m after. But yeah it’d either need to be another Xaela that hit it off with him because he is biased for Xaela, or just someone else who either had such good synergy with him or challenged him to a point where he couldn’t just write them off.

So, he’s on hold until such a person comes along, but who I would more actively hope for a thread for would be Ash n Runa. She’s my second oldest character creation date wise and I do have a very soft spot for her despite how awful she is on the outside, but I’d just really, really love for her to make some buddies outside of Ash and get some chances to work through her issues. Ash is great for her, but he’s only one person.

Of course with her being a little ball of undiluted rage, Ash is kinda semi-necessary as a buffer ‘cause she’s not likely to get anywhere with anyone otherwise. Either the other person won’t take her shit at which point it’s... Not likely to end well for anyone, or they will take her shit and she’ll lose respect for them, or they’re oblivious to her shit and she’ll take an extra disliking to them.

How I’d handle her, then, would just be to either have Ash present, or introduce Ash and the other character first before bringing Runa in later ‘cause she tries to behave herself for his sake, extra so if he’s friendly with someone ‘cause she doesn’t want to ruin his relationships. And Ash is far easier to get along with on account of being a total sweetheart. Of course I don’t want to delegate him entirely and only to the role of enabling interactions for Runa, but that’s definitely one job for him on the side of building relationships of his own. I'd imagine he’d mostly just need someone who wasn’t a total asshole to him or in general because if he can’t see you as anything other than an ass then he’s not going to stick around (or rather, Runa won’t let him stick around to be a doormat as he’s kinda wont to do).

Although one new opening was made by my shenanigans of fantaing Runa into a Xaela, and that’s the whole she wasn’t born a Xaela and doesn’t know that much about about the Xaelic cultures. Considering she’d still love to learn, tossing a Xaela at her would most likely have her to try to curb her worst behaviors for the chance of getting some new infos.

What is your favorite thing about Saga? 

How genuine he is, honestly. He does hide things about himself, he will feint on things he doesn’t want to talk about or show, but in his approach to life and others, he puts his best intent forward and wears his heart on his sleeve more often than not. It’s not that it’d never have gotten him hurt before, or taken advantage of, or just in general had negative consequences for him. He’s not wholly naive.

He still does it, though, because it’s what he wants to be and damn if he’s going to let others stop him ‘cause they think he should be something else for any reason. He means all of his kindness with every fiber of his being. None of it is for show, to deceive, or to only forward selfish ends (even if he does fully accept, acknowledge, and willfully benefit from his positive actions sometimes). He means well no matter the circumstances, because that’s the course he’s decided on, and it just kinda gets to me sometimes.

Do I see that changing about him, sad as a part of me would be if that happened? Quite likely. He’s still young enough that he hasn’t fully settled into himself unlike my IC maturity wise older characters, and he hasn’t had any incredibly negative experiences in his life that would’ve affected him greatly. Should he have those, who knows how he would react.

Which of your oc if any do you hope he ends up as much fun writing as?

I don’t want to play favorites (it’s Saahe. Saahe’s my favorite), but honestly he’s probably been the most fun to write of my muses, already and so far. I have fun with all of them, obviously, but there’s just something about Saga that tickles me. Could be because he’s just near polar opposite of the muse I played for uhhhh eight, nine years? So he’s kinda a breath of fresh air in that regard.

Mind, none of my FFXIV characters are very alike to my previous character, but he’s just the most unalike.

And where in the world IS Carmen Sandiego???

Quietly, usually. He’s not very talkative in the mornings himself, and while he doesn’t mind prattle coming from someone else, it’s not his preference.

Quietly and slowly, too. Saahe doesn’t like being in a hurry, especially not in the mornings. If he doesn’t quite linger in bed that day, he still wants to take his time making and eating breakfast and wake himself up bit by bit instead of needing to jump straight into the day’s activities.

He’ll be in a grouchy mood for the rest of the day if he wasn’t able to perform his morning routines.

But because his routines tend to be on the lengthier side and he knows it, he also tends to wake up pretty early so he has the time for it. That’s not to say he never stays in bed longer than planned, because it’s soft and warm and cuddles are very nice.
