Fellow non-ace/aros:
I have literally never been shamed for my sexuality or romance by an ace/aro person. Once my gfâs best friend said we were gross, but I was being REAL sappy, and Iâm absolutely sure that a lot of other people would have been grossed out too. It was also in person and just the three of us in the room.
I post about loving my gf all the time. I post about loving sex with her pretty often too. I made plenty of posts about being in a relationship with two people at the same time and having sex with each of them when I was in that situation. Literally ONE person has ever responded to any of them negatively (although Iâm sure some just ignored them) and guess what? It was NOT an ace person. It was NOT an aro person. If Iâm remembering correctly, it was a bi(perhaps gay?) trans man who was bitter because heâs never had an SO.
Allosexual is not a dirty word. It is not meant to shame us for having sex. Stop acting like those cis ppl who see the word cisgender and think theyâre being attacked for having the genitals they have. It makes no sense, itâs just a fucking descriptor (And I actually have seen people say âdown with cisâ or âcis scum,â so itâs not even a just comparison). If an ace or aro person has said something mean to you, it probably had less to do with you being allo and more to do with you being an asshole. And individual people can be shitty, but you canât use what one or two or even a hundred people have done to dismiss their whole sexuality or other group they didnât choose to be in.
