The duo perked as they heard Ace return to the candy gorge in record time. 'Whoa! That was quick!' Kitt thought to herself as she took a brief glance toward the hoodied sprite back at her side. Without keeping her wintergreen eyes off the animal cracker lion, she listened intently to the girl's suggestion. In truth, a sleeping potion would be extremely helpful ... not to mention logical. Yet, there was just one minor thing that was starting to nag at the back of the felinoid's mind. Earlier that day, she recalled Ace mentioning how she had managed to save a couple of momentos from her old game ... a game she could no longer recall what it was about nor what part she played in it. This potion was one of them, and if it was used now it would be gone forever.
Kitt may not have been a homeless game sprite, but she understood well enough how important it was to keep things that reminded you of the people or places that you hold dear. Things that would mean the most to a person. And if there was a chance that those few items would one day help bring back Ace's memories of her old home, using any of them was not an option at the moment. With that in mind, Kitt had made her final decision.
Right then, the chubby beast had made a decision of it's own. It had waited long enough. As it finally pounced with jaws open and claws out towards the trio, Kitt grabbed onto her shoulder. "Hold on to that thought!" she quickly said before throwing the small, glass vial hard against the ground right underneath the soaring lion. It smashed and emitted a thick, violet cloud that billowed out and completely surrounded the beast. This was a harmless tactic designed only to distract and confuse ... which no doubt the cookie beast was feeling now. At least, it gave them a bit more time .... maybe.
The second the vial was thrown, Kitt grabbed Ace's arm and ran a few feet away from the scene, keeping mind not to jolt her too much or accidently make her drop her potion. Mouse, on the other hand, was about to go after the other two but looked back toward the cloud. Tilting his capped head as he watched it, he quirked his brow as an idea popped into his head. Smiling brightly, he turned towards the girls. "Hey guys! This is it! This is our chance ta do this thing!" he yelled out to them. Although the dormouse could not be seen by the lion, it could still hear him ... and as the little sprite's back was turned, the lion's large cookie head burst out of the cloud, closing it's jaws over the rodent like a cage.
