My Godteir ascension
I look in front of me and I see not only my latest obsession, but my greatest fear. There it stands, a cold slab of stone black as the night and a blinding white making up the symbol I have come to somehow love. I turn my back to it and I can see the forge now lit with the last of the Creative power and creation represented by the light I had to carry to restore this land. I slowly bring my hand up to my forehead and feel the recent wound opened by the climb, and smile knowing that it doesn't matter anyway. The wounds I had received carried little-to-no meaning as my revival and rebirth would sweep them away. I pull out my weapon out of its sheath, a baseball bat modified so with some channeling of my power would shoot ice, flame, or electricity. I then strap up the sheath that I have never let off my back since I alchemized it, and let it fall to the ground. I gently place my bat on it. Seems like so long ago, so distant despite it only two months ago. It been a while since I had contacted the rest of my session but I needed to light the forge and do this by myself. I unstrap my light body armor and let it fall to the cool earth below me and note all the damage on it. Each piece of damage reminding me of my trials and each person in my session and what they prototyped in. I undo my leg pieces and let them fall with an silent thud next to the light body armor.
I stand there in only a short white sleeved t-shirt and my thin black sweat pants. I bask in the feeling of the wind blowing over and cooling my body and sweeping through my sweat soaked hair. I pull out a pair of glasses with ear buds coming off them and put on the glasses and push in the buds wishing I had alchemized some over the ear headphones instead but these will have to do. I start going through music I want to be the last and first thing I hear when I am reborn. “Captain Jack,” too slow. “What I Got,” no, doesn't fit. “Bellbottoms,” perfect. Starts slow and then in one quick moment speeds up from the blues to fast pace garage rock. I lay down and let the song start. I lay there with my eyes closed like I'm about to sleep and let the song play for about a minute. I then telekinetically pick up a small rock by my quest bed and lift it up till it is at my head level and throw it as hard as I can right above my heart.
Thankfully, it happens so fast that I don't feel anything. The next thing I know, my body feels refreshed and revitalized. My mind is an complete buzz. I snap my eyes open and I'm no longer laying on the cold slab of rock but instead floating above it. "BELLBOTTOMS" is the first thing I hear and the song picks up as I move over to my bat. Time to see what my amped up abilities can do. I lift the bat the sky and let out an blast of fire that soars into the sky like an flair. That should let them know I'm fine. Better go and find them.
