that was his main concern. he was doing this partly because of his mother who was also a fan. and he...he’d been watching her ever since the junior south korean skating championships. his mother was someone who had an acquaintance back when she was in college who then turned out to become a coach. so ever since then, they’d watch competitions like that whenever they can. it was the first time mingyu was moved, he remembered, while watching her performances. it made him feel as if no one could be that pretty that he’s moved to tears. so he remembered the name bae jinye ever since.
especially since news of her quitting surfaced. sure, he had seen her around campus but it was the first time he really had the confidence to approach her. she did have that whole ‘ice princess’ look going on. but he thought, after perfecting the herbal tea he was intending on giving her since he knew she attended the same school, it was time. mingyu smiled as genuinely as he could, though it was a little tense. when he approached her, he cleared his throat, asking, “can i sit here?”
