From the edges of the forest, the sounds of growling began. Under the shadows, for so long…  Not disturbing the students and residents of the supernatural haven, in a neighbouring place where they could live and hide in peace.... Not anymore. Not while they were being slaughtered for no reason. For pure evil. 

The first one stepped out of the tree line, bigger than a regular sized wolf… With eyes that were red filled with rage. The alpha was here, both of them. They were angry. The strigoi were a disruption in nature, they affected the balance of the supernatural and here tonight was the pack's last straw. 

In a matter of minutes, the growls took over the silence and surrounded the fairgrounds. The wolves were ready to scare the strigoi to see if it did anything but they were relentless, they ignored the growls and continued to attack. The final straw, one of them grabbed a child from their mother and attempted to turn them into another snack. 

The alpha leapt into action, the pack following closely behind. They ripped the strigoi from the grounds, ensuring they couldn’t hurt anyone else for the rest of the night. 

The leader of the strigoi screamed and cried, their plan was ruined. People would survive. It wasn’t what they wanted. They didn’t even know the wolves existed anymore but they did… They were here and until the wards returned, they would protect the town and the rest of the academy. 

The following day, the headmistress held a funeral for all the lost students, teachers and everyone they lost. She is confident that they will find a solution to get the wards back up, ignoring her original claims to punish the others, she wanted to move forward and heal. 

The two packs, The Allens and the Hayes would be allowed to attend the school, as a thank you. They would be allowed to take guardians as they were in short supply of dhampir guardians now. 

The alphas would work together with the headmistress to integrate the new members of the academy and ensure a safe environment for their new students and teachers. The wolves were here to stay but no one would forget what they did at the fair, no one.

Unfortunately, our event is being cut short. We know everyone was planning on an extra week but with the lack of interest, the admin team had to come to conclusion that it would not be fair and with the requirement only a few members would not be on activity warning. 

Please do not hesitate to write a self para or finish any threads VIA discord or IM’s to achieve the results you were planning on accomplishing for the night of the fair.

Every year, the town of Lennox holds a summer event. This year, it is a fair. There will be games, rides, prizes, fried food and all the cotton candy you can eat. While there was discussion of cancelling the event - the headmistress and town decided that everyone needed this for themselves.

There would be extra security provided around the fairgrounds to ensure everyone’s safety and prevent any potential outside attacks on any who decide to attend.

The night was so clear, you could see the stars. The sounds of laughter erupted loudly no matter where you turned and everyone… professor, student and resident was taking the night in.

The sun had just set, a perfect golden background against the fair. Almost everyone stopped to take it in and if you were on the ferris wheel, your view had been better than most.

Shortly after things got dark… the security team had moved into formation... There were noises coming from the edge of the grounds…

Swiftly and quietly the group of strigoi took out the dhampirs easily, leaving their bodies cold on the floor. They moved through the crows, not drawing attention to themselves as they decided their next moves.

It happened in a matter of minutes, their leader, someone they all thought had died years ago, made their way to the centre of the fairgrounds. They jumped onto a table; the rest of the group following closely behind.

By now, people started to take notice. Their eyes were a dead give away but the leader didn’t care. One of them handed over a microphone and the sharp buzzing noise of the static took over. They cleared their throat.

“Hello, Lennox.” They started. “We’re all here tonight to have some fun. Although, your fun is going to be cut short… Because unfortunately. You’re all going to die.”

OOC INFORMATION REGARDING THE EVENT

The event will last two weeks from: july 9th to july 23rd, 2021

Time: 5PM EST, 4PM CST, 9PM GMT, 2PM PST, 7AM AEST (july 10th)

You will be able to write threads for: prior and during the attack

This will take place over the course of one night in character

THE REQUIREMENT FOR THE EVENT ARE BELOW

We have paired each and every character with another for when the attack occurs. We will be posting the pairings in the discord. During the course of the event, these threads are going to affect the aftermath of the event, hence why it is required.

please keep in mind that not completing this thread will result in an automatic activity warning for this two week time period

They had spent a long time preparing for this night. Practicing the hand motions, the incantations and everything the leader had told them to do. They handed them a wad of cash and didn’t ask any questions other than was it possible. 

The individual stood, ready. When their speech was over, they started. Quick. Efficient. Powerful. The spell was perfected down to every single second and they were finally able to do it on a big scale. It would be a breaking point for their kind and if they could do this, they could be taken more seriously by all these stuck up magicians. 

They let out a laugh as the spell took over the fairgrounds, slowly spreading through all that were here. They couldn’t see it but they knew everyone could feel it. A feeling of weakness… hopelessness… death… It was fabulous. 

The strigoi would be able to easily defeat them now. Their so-called powers they valued so much and trained so hard to perfect were useless now. They would have to use other ways to get out of this and for once, the privileged members of acadia and the town of lennox would be come out on the bottom.
