Trading Sleepless Nights for Ocean Views
After countless sleepless nights spent staring at screens, chasing deadlines, and trying to keep up with the endless demands of academics, I finally gave myself something I didn't realize I needed so badly—a pause.
For three days, Camotes Island became my escape. The sound of notifications was replaced by crashing waves, the glow of my laptop by golden sunsets, and the constant pressure to be productive by the simple beauty of being present.
There was something comforting about waking up to fresh ocean air, feeling the sea breeze against my skin, and watching nature move at its own pace. No rush. No deadlines. Just endless blue waters, open skies, swaying trees, and the reminder that life exists beyond assignments, exams, and responsibilities.
Somewhere between the quiet mornings, the breathtaking views, and the peaceful rhythm of the island, I felt my mind slowly untangle itself from stress. Nature has a way of healing you without saying a word. It doesn't demand anything from you—it simply welcomes you, lets you breathe, and reminds you that rest is just as important as hard work.
I came to Camotes looking for a break from academics, but I left with something much more valuable—a renewed appreciation for nature, balance, and peace
Three days were never enough, but they were exactly what I needed. 🌊🍃☀️
