#academic warning

Hi there, So I was just put on academic probation for the “rest of the academic year”. Does the academic year include summer or does it end in April? I was also wondering if I am able to take courses in the summer, even though I’m on academic probation. If I do take summer courses, would those be the credits looked at to take me off of academic probation? When I try to look up stuff on the YorkU site, all it says is stuff about academic warning. Is that the same thing? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I’m currently on academic restriction for one year and I was wondering if this is from Sept to April and if I’ll be able to enrol for summer courses? Thank you.

I'm an international student and last I took an Eng course at YUELI. But while taking that E course, York U also automatically enrolled in ECON1000 & 1010. However, I ended up with an Academic Warning and as I remember my GPA at that time was really low somewhere at 2.5. To this year, I've already raised my GPA up to 4.33 and I think if I continue like this I would be fine. But now I'm actually not sure with my NATS course (6 credit). So if I get D+ for this course, my GPA will decrease

my GPA will decrease to 3.8 :((( Will it still be ok for me to continue, or I have to debarred. And as York said on Academic Calender, you have to keep your GPA at least 4.0 or C within the next 24 credits. Until now I've already taken 15 credits. So can I still have any chance??? thanks for your help!!

Around what time of the year would they email/mail you about academic warning? I just completed my first year and I'm a BSc biology major if it helps.

If my gpa rises above a 4.0 after a successful petition that takes off my failed grades will I be taken off academic warning? Even if I don't meet the requirement of getting a 5.0 sessional gpa?

hello! I got an email from York regarding my academic standing. In the email, it says that they have received my fall 2017 grades from the registrars office and that my cGPA is below 4... but as stated on my degree progress report, it is clearly above 4. They also stated in the email that I could take limited additional credits to bring up my gpa? I got Bs and B+s during the fall sem which brought my gpa up. do you know why they are sending me this???

hi, so i was required to withdraw for a year due to a low gpa (which i am right now) and i know that i have to reactivate in may for fw18/19 and i saw on the registars page that i have to reapply do i just reactivate and thats it or do i reapply all together? i am really confused by this. please and thank you in advance!!
