It was only after putting in an order for her latest home additions that Molly realized she would have to find some where to stay until work was completed. Though majority was just work to be done on the second floor, she had opted for a few other things to be done as well; new bathrooms installed, tiling in them, as well as the kitchen, and even a few new walls to be erected and divide her once open floor plan into a home with many rooms. And once the building work had been done, she figured she might as well hire someone to come in and refurnish and decorate her home.Ā
She hadnāt a clue how long it would take, and while the couch in her office at the Winery sure was comfortable, she had decided she was much better off renting a room to stay in. So after packing a bag, and leaving a key with a worker that had come by, she bid her home a short farewell, before heading to the Ocarina Inn to check in for however long it would take.Ā

Thatās right. Iām back in this dreadful place.Ā
Altelia City.Ā
Anything but home sweet home.
Why am I here? Well, I need some cash. That and I figured Iād at least check in with my mother and let her know Iām alive and all. Except not even that worked out because guess what. The vineyard closed down. I canāt even believe it. The vineyard thatād been in the family since my great-grandparents owned it and now itās just some vacant land up for auction. By the looks of the land itās been a while, too. I wonder how long they went under. I donāt even know where they went. Maybe Iāll ask somebody at the post office what they changed their address to.Ā
So, instead of lodging at the vineyard (which would have been free) Iām now stuck at the Lady Ann Inn (paying for a room). Did I mention I came here for money? Yeah, real suckish. Not to mention I have yet to meet thisĀ āLady Annā if she even exists. Such a weird name for an inn. Then again, itās better than the Inner Inn I stayed at it some valley. Seriously, people need to get better names for things.Ā
Anyway, Iāve been in town for a couple days now. I found out there was a new winery and you wouldnāt believe who owns it. Molly DāAmore. I had my suspicions considering it was called Frutti DāAmoreĀ Winery. It was great to catch up with her and whatās even better I got a part-time job there. Poor woman could use a break. She owns like three or four businesses. I think Iād pull my hair out if I had that much on my plate.Ā
Ā Which reminds me, I need to find out where the heck Alice is living these days. Last I saw her she was attending university. I popped in to say hi for a couple days, but thatās been a few years ago. Surely sheās graduated by now. Where would a CEO even hang out?
Yeah, I should look at some mansions nearby. Thatās where I would be.Ā
I also saw casting call for ballerinas at the Alexandria Theatre and you can bet your ass Iāll be there. I know without a doubt Iāll be cast as the prima ballerina. Itāll also be nice to get back up on stage again and in the lime light. Thatāll also bring in a good amount of cash. So, Iāll stay until the production is over. Then Iāll be on my way again.Ā
I mean, thereās no way in hell Iād want to stay here.Ā
It is weird how the littlest thing can throw off the rest of your entire day. One moment you are happy, relaxed, enjoying the morning, and then something you see or hear causes the switch to flip. The day is soured, and all you wish to do is sit around and do nothing.
Though I do not believe what I read to be true, I cannot help but feelā¦off put? Iām not so sure how to explain it, other than an unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomachā¦Perhaps I am bothered by the fact that he is a very good friend of mine, someone I see almost everyday (regardless if Iām there to visit or nap,) someone close enough to maybe mention something of the sort?
Though maybe not soā¦he is the perfect definition of an enigma, to the point that I do not even know his name. I suppose it would make sense then, if it were truly a secret, to be something he would not mention or bring light to.
It does not really matter I suppose. It shouldnāt, for the most part. At the end of the day, it was just something that made its way into a silly gossip column; and not to mention, not really any of my business, no matter how unsettled I feel.
ā Ā ā Ā ā Ā ā A hazy dream was what it all seemed for the Elder Dragon. He vaguely remembers a human that foolishly found himself in his prison. Then, there was a struggle. An arrangement he doesnāt quite remember. And then, he bursts into flames. The irony it all was for him who Ā lives for flame and destruction. Fire was never meant to harm him. It was his weapon, his ally. But his vision blurred as the flames engulfed him and he felt himself growing tinier and tinier, as if he was being reduced to nothing.
Freedom. He was promised freedom. But at what cost?

Homeowner. It certainly wasn't a word Molly ever though she could associate herself with. She had always been hardworking, putting in the effort to make sure she lived a decent life with a roof over head. It was exciting, taking the next big step in life. And while her new home was anything far from being desirous, alL that mattered was that it hers; hers to do with what she willed. Her plans for the house were simple enough, a fresh coat of paint after a good cleaning. The home even came with some furniture, certainly a plus for someone moving from a small apartment. It would take a bit, but after some hardwork, a bit of elbow grease, and plenty of rearranging, the place would replicate the image she had in mind.
Molly had to admit, returning to Altelia City certainly was for the best. She enjoyed the jobs she held, the friendly faces, and now, after putting in the hours and effort, now had a place she could call her own; a place she could call home.
I find it strange to write this journal entry on a table in my personal bedroom in my very own house located at my farmland. It used to be so strange to have personal belongings that went beyond a piece of literature, weaponry, clothes or trinkets... now, I actually own enough to have a house all to myself.Ā
Itās not as empty as one would assume. I went wild with the spending but I kind of wished I saved it for a different time given whatās been happening in the city lately. Apparently thisĀ āFunlandā company is a bad guy. Never really knew much about them apart from owning a lot of businesses that I happen to think are pretty cool. The arcade, for one, is a personal favorite. But lately, they planned on doing more than just handle a business. Theyāre taking what rightfully belongs to other people and thatās all sorts of wrong in Kyleās book.
Maybe since my debt with the farm is paid off now, I can earn a little more and save enough to help out the businesses threatened for demolition. The broadcasting station, especially. The orchard-bossā farm, too. My half-elfĀ ābuddy was an employee at the blacksmithās and could maybe use a hand, and Charlotte, while not exactly in great terms with me, is someone I canāt really ignore...Ā
Thereās the pumpkin decor to worry about... but I should be able to earn enough both for that debt and for extra expenses.
Pfft. Here I am worrying about other people when I should be worrying about myself and the farm. Weatherās going to be terrible and ever since that earthquake, my headās been hurting a lot more. I need to do something about that eventually.
Molly, like most people, has always had the occasional dream that felt more like reality. Falling, swimming, driving; even dreams involving food, the wonderful (or sometimes horrid) smells wafting through the air, convincing enough to the titian haired woman that it really was real.Ā
She was in the middle of her nap, resting before her night shift, when she felt it. She had believed to be dreaming, standing in the middle of the sidewalk and feeling her body begin to shake. Being a light sleeper, she woke up, disorientated, as her brows knit in confusion at the fact that the shaking did not stop despite her new consciousness. She jumped from her bed, avoiding a few things that had fallen off her dresser while quickly running to a window; but by the time she had drawn the curtains, the shaking had subsided. Peering outside, there wasnāt much activity going on anyway, despite a few people outside of the apartment building looking around, trying to figure out what had happened as well.
āAn earthquake?ā She said aloud to herself, yawning and stretching her arms. She had never experienced one before, though she supposed that didnāt mean they couldnāt happen here. Still, she could not help to find the phenomenon a bit discomforting...
