abucketloadofmymind reblogged your post I made my own camp jupiter shirt becau... and added:
this is aMAZING! i have a couple of questions,
1. how the fuck did you make this?!?
2. are you going to make more to sell?!?
thank you! :"D
1. okay here's a tutorial:
materials: 1. Shirt 2. SPQR stencil 3. Gold acrylic/textile paint 4. tape 5. Paintbrushes 6.cutter 7. Cardboard
i printed out the "SPQR" logo on hard paper, then i used a cutter to cut out the letters and the leaves to make a stencil
then i taped the stencil on my shirt so it wont move when i paint over it :D
dont forget to place a cardboard( or anything that can prevent the paint from seeping down to the back of the shirt) in the shirt.
then with the paint, you could either buy gold acrylic/textile paint or make your own gold paint (google-able)
but for me, i wasnt able to find gold paint so i bought silver paint instead.
i mixed up silver, yellow and a little bit of red to make gold :D
*sorry it's blurry i was rushing yesterday and didnt get to focus the cam*
then i apply the paint.
make sure none of the paint go under the stencil
it happened to me so i had to remove the stencil and scrape off the excess gold paint on the shirt.
i let it dry off under the sun for a few hours (?) idk i just let it dry
then i had to repaint the gold because my previous layer was dull.
et voila! it's not perfect but it's enough for me :D
hmm i'm not sure about starting a business on this. i'll go ask my mum if i could :D
my parents would probably allow me anyway :P
but i'll test this shirt out first before i sell anything :D
