i saw a post where the poster mentioned it wondered if magical girl!hms had magical girl names, do they?
hullo! no, they do not... this is for a few reasons, but the main in-universe reason is that they have far too little work-life balance when it comes to their magical girl work. they see their alternate forms as themselves (rather than 'alternate forms') and dont really make much mental distinction between the two. this lack of compartmentalization is probably not the best for their mental state but it is how things are.
additionally, i dont think they would take magical girl names particularly seriously... both heart and mind would likely mock each other for whatever name they chose if they did choose one, and they arent super particular about their identities being secret, as they arent very social outside of each other. their powers didnt come with any magical creature to guide them and theyve largely had to figure everything out on their own... so theres noone to grant them their own magical girl name either.
