Thoughts on Commander Madi? I actually loved her and didn't expect it at all. I enjoyed her but once she became commander I just kinda fell in love with the dynamic of Madi having a good heart and childish spirit but also a badass who will cut a bitch. It was so cool seeing someone become commander because it helped make Lexa make more sense too. The way she struggled between one moment emotional outbreaks the next sudden completely logic and apathy.
I totally agree with what you say! Commander Madi showed how the chip does have an immediate impact on a person, but also that they’re still themselves under all of it. ‘cause let’s be real, the violent “this is my home and I’ll murder anyone who touches it”? That was all Madi and Clarke right there. I’m sure the other Commanders didn’t protest, given their history, but that response was so emotionally motivated, and not at all the Flame guiding her. Kudos to the actress too, for showing us so clearly the divide between Madi and Heda, you can even see it in the way she holds herself
