This fight they had was the last straw. Melody couldn’t take it anymore, she was just done with everything. Done with Jared, done with their relationship, done with all of it. She had packed up her bags and loaded the taxi. The female easily fooled him by saying that she’s visiting her family in Detroit, lying that there was sometime of emergency and she was needed. Not all of it was a lie but it wasn’t exactly the whole truth. She actually was going to visit family.

Sitting at the airport, waiting for her flight to be called, Melody decided it was time to tell Jared it was over. Perhaps doing it though text message was a bad idea but she wasn’t even remotely close to him. Pulling her iPhone from her purse, she clicked on the green button and went into his section of messages. Quickly enough she started typing.

“I can’t handle this anymore. The fights, the punches, what is it worth anyways? We’re only destroying ourselves, Jared. I’m done, this is my goodbye.”

Her thumb hovered over the ‘send’ button. Reading it to herself, what was she doing? Just because they have so much bad in their relationship doesn’t mean they don’t have the good. Besides, what was one little fight? They’ve had so many already; It was just another one.

Another night, another fight. This ordeal was becoming routine; it already was routine though she couldn't bring herself to admit it. What was the fight over this time, a silly parking ticket? This was stupid and Melody knew it. Miami Law clearly stated not to park over the yellow line in a school zone. She had told Jared, her boyfriend, about it over and over again that day. But the stubborn male didn't believe her, stating that the girl was making it up so she wouldn't have to walk in her heels so much. Somewhat of that was true, but Melody knew the law better than he did. Jared had only been here for a few months while she has been living in Miami for almost two years now.

Staring down at the mailed ticket, the girl found herself shaking her head. "I told you, I fucking told you, Jared." She shoved the piece of yellow paper against his chest and looked away, heading off the living room. "If you had just parked somewhere else, we wouldn't have to pay hundred and fifty dollars." Melody wasn't the type of girl to get angry so quickly but Jared knew how to push her buttons. "Just because you're a spoiled New Yorker doesn't mean you get your damn way all the time." The girl shouted at him, being tired of his ignorance.
