In a small Californian town of North Shore, two young men, Mitchell Kane and Austin Drake are living different lives , Mitchell is the rising star of the high school basketball team, arrogant, c*cky and assured with the beautiful girlfriend Natalie and hailing from wealthiest family in town he seems to have it made. Mitchell on the other hand is a loner, hailing from a lower class family he’s quiet, brooding but focused and spends his time playing his beloved basketball down on the public beach courts. The boys lives couldn't be more diffrent but they have one thing in commen and that’s the fact the share the same father , its a secret that very few know and their parents hope will never be discovered in just over a year or so they'll be graduating and heading off to college. Except no one anticipates the chain of events that seems to kick off happen when new girl Brooke McKenna moves too North Shore with her brother Josh..

Brooke and Josh McKenna are new in town but it dosnt take long for them too settle in too life in North Shore, Josh soon falls into Austin's group of friends joining the basketball team. Brooke become's popular and at first everyone thinks she and Natalie are gonna be friend but when Natalie realize's she's no longer the center of attention with the boys in school..and even with some of the girls she takes a dislike too Brooke especially when she realize's her own boyfriend has also taken interest in the stunning brunette. Brooke shrugs it off she like's the perks of being popular but its not the end of the world even she tires of the tedious High School drama and needs time out. One day she mets Mitchell Kane... while out taking photo's down by the river court and in the passing days the two find a connection and soon she wishes she'd met him before she made the mistake of hooking up with Austin at a party there first weekend in town .. it dosn't take long for Austin too notice as she starts spending more time with Mitchell and he's pissed and so is Natalie...but Natalie can never stay mad at her boyfriend for long... they fight and make -up all the time its how things go.. and everything know's it..
