Full Name: Seth VidarGender and Sexuality: Male, heterosexualPronouns: he/himEthnicity/Species: Sovernian, HumanĀ Birthplace and Birthdate: Seth is from the now extinct city of Sovernis, a city in his homeworld: Edzion. It was a city known for its noble Heaven-Knights.Guilty Pleasures: Seth loves to bicker with the princess of Gaverillya: Sarai, who is also his childhood friend. He also loves to show off when wielding Odin, his Heavensent, and getting attention. Seth likes to bask in the spotlight of aĀ āheroā, and loves to eat sweets, which he often may steal from either Sarai, or from the guest rooms of the palace.Ā Phobias:Ā Thanatophobia (death),Ā MonophobiaĀ (loneliness), Necrophobia (corpses)What They Would Be Famous For: He is one of the most skilled sword users, he is also known for being rather reckless and most willing to shove his head into danger to fulfill his duty as a Heaven-Knight. The āhero who almost got killed while saving an old lady from a monsterās mouthā kind of guy. His stubbornness and hotheadedness is well known among the ranks, how he got into the Heaven-Knights is still a miracle, even though he doesnāt really believe in that kind of stuff. He is also highly intelligent, but his stubborn, flirtatious, and very laid back attitude hides it.What They Would Get Arrested For: Treason, destruction of public property (although it is usually an accident when it does happen).OC You Ship Them With: SaraiOC Most Likely To Murder Them: Livius, but this is if weāre speaking outside of his own story. In-story, thereās a lot of people that would be very happy to murder him.Favorite Movie/Book Genre: Seth likes Sci-fi, action, horror, and the occasional slice-of-life story. He mostly sticks to the more fantasy oriented stuff, though, especially if any of these has bitter-sweet story tropes. Seth may have a hidden soft spot for romantic books that donāt get too cheesy. Ā He loves books that get him to think, too; one that you have to research and examine.Ā Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: Predictability, the super-young-hero-that-is-super-skilled-at-everything trope, stories that donāt go anywhere, overly cheesy books (he calls themĀ ācringe genreā). Heāll say he doesnāt like reading all that much, but just going in his room and seeing his books say otherwise.Talents and/or Powers: Seth is a Heavensent-Knight, people who can transform their very souls into armor-like beings that are near indestructible. He is a very skilled sword wielder, and when transformed into Odin, he wields a spear very skillfully. Quick on his feet and alert, Seth is always planning ways to overcome his opponents, using the environment around him, or just his own wits. Due to his abilities with a Heavensent, Seth can use a range of elemental magic, which he infuses into his sword skills. Why Someone Might Love Them: Beneath his showoff-ish outside and tough guy attitude, Seth has a very caring and gentle heart. He is also willing to go out of his way for those he loves, and willing to risk his life and fight to the end for those close to his heart. To Seth, family can be someone who is not blood-related, and to him family is first before the rest of the world. There is a sense of naivety to him, which shows at times when speaking about the rest of the world of Edzion; his sense of adventure is almost like that of a childrenās storybook.Ā Why Someone Might Hate Them: Seth is unfortunately horridly short-tempered, stubborn to the point of sometimes not swaying in his choices and at times resulting in a mess due to it. He also believes there is no such thing as destiny, which his worldās culture believes in heavily, and will mock almost anyone who disagrees with his views. With his flirtatious attitude, Ā it at times can make him seem like he is entitled to the princess: Sarai. Seth is also quite set on not receiving help, feeling as if it is ridiculous; this stemming from being one of the youngest highest ranking Heaven-Knights. Seth also keeps his soft side to himself, instead brashly covering up any leak of it with attitude. He is also rather selfish and does not think much outside of those he cares of, so he can come off as mildly snobbish to those who donāt know him.How They Change: Besides a couple of life-changing moments, it is ultimately Sarai that ends up changing him for the better. Seth becomes a humbled man later on, and cares deeply for the people who follow and walk alongside him. He also lets his real emotions out more often, and accepts help and advice from others. There is an event that leaves him traumatized, and it is through this that his bond with Sarai is deepened. He also comes to terms with the belief of destiny in their world, although he at first sees it in a twisted manner, before Sarai punches some sense into him.Why You Love Them: The character development he goes through in the story is so fun to write out, and heās just an odd character whoās more than just the flirty princessā guard. I spent quite a long time coming up with a design from him, since in the original dream I had relating to his story there were different characters from official series in it. He may also have some personality traits and quirks from my lovely spouse shoved in there, too.Ā
