1.What irks other people about the way they converse?
Probably that if he's in unfamiliar company, he speaks quite slowly, with unnatural pacing. When speaking common Eorzean, he often talks like someone who knows what language is and what order words need to be spoken in, but in practice, it's sort of falling apart? It's worse if he's nervous and begins to stutter, and his voice will trail off to nothing even though his lips are still moving. He usually needs people to be a bit patient with him at the beginning, or he will resort to only nodding and shaking his head. He's gotten better at it as time has gone on, but by no means does he sound like most people unless he's comfortable using the dialect and cant he was raised with around someone.
9. How likely are they to use body language rather than words to express discomfort and other emotions?
Very likely! While Milo doesn't use sign language and has a very... stoic expression at times, he does fidget, take a step back, hold himself, or even excuse himself if he's uncomfortable. He might struggle to meet other's eyes, turn himself so that he's not facing the person as much, and generally avoid speaking from them on.
13. What trait immediately draws them to other people?
Appearing level-headed and calm, but not in a cold way. He really likes folk who seem like they're put together and know what they want to say, if asked. He takes a lot of time to warm up to others so having a calmer energy present makes that go a little quicker.
Turns out my mother doesn't understand if she minimises the phone app to look for something on her phone the other person can still hear her.
She also thinks she has to reopen the phone app to continue talking.

I'm 90% certain our new grass (laid down 5 months ago) has a fungus from being over watered in one area (dog pee area) and it's spread to the rest of the lawn when mowing.
The internet tells me we should stop watering and let it dry out for a bit to start.
Problem: this is Australia and it's wet season. It hasn't not rained in 15 days.
So... Idk. *gestures vaguely* Guess it's gonna die.
Happy New Year from 2021!!
So far it's involved listening to Florence + the Machine and eating timtams.
