I think Kraglin genuinely did not mean to “do a mutiny”. Here’s why

Who hasn’t complained about their boss after some Real Bullshit (TM)? And after that scene on the snow planet where it becomes clearer what happened to Yondu’s faction, it’s pretty obvious that there’s been about 15 years of Real Bullshit

Who hasn’t complained about something and then had it get all blown out of proportion?

Taserface and co probably wanted to do a mutiny well before now, but didn’t have the reassurance that people at the top (Kraglin) were on their side.

“They killed all my friends” and the size of the trail of bodies implies that there was a sizeable faction still loyal to Kraglin and Yondu. Perhaps not unquestioningly, but definitely not part of Taserface’s faction.

Taserface and co waited to kill Kraglin. Which implies that despite his remarks earlier, he resisted the mutiny. Also, they were gonna make a statement out of him (perhaps a threat at Yondu?)

When Kraglin says to Yondu “I didn’t mean to do a mutiny.” he’s taking responsibility for the mutiny. It’s a very honorable(?) thing to do as the next highest ranking officer to the Captain. It’s a very loyal thing to do.

And Yondu forgives him for it? Not quite forgives but understands. And then proceeds to trust Kraglin with his and others lives like he wasn’t betrayed.

Kraglin is minding his own damn business in the fitness area that has haphazardly developed on a tangle of gangways high up in the cargo bay of the Eclector. It’s hard to maintain what little muscle mass in the periodic low gravity of the Eclector, and just as difficult to keep bones from getting space-brittle. Something about radiation leeching essential elements.

So Kraglin can be found working out on the regular up here. And today, Yondu graces him with his presence. Which means sitting on Kraglin’s back while he tries to do push ups.

Kraglin immediately collapses, abandoning all pretense of giving a damn in favor of keeping his face from mashing into the grating.
