The only thing Daniyah knows for sure is that she’ll be back in Bulgaria. England holds so many bad memories, she doesn’t want to stay any longer than she has to. Daniyah’s secret dream, one she hasn’t told anyone, is to be headmistress of Durmstrang and restore the school to what her ancestor, Nerida Vulchanova, intended.
Daniyah isn’t much of one for happiness. Growing up with her father was easier when she didn’t feel negative emotions, and in the process of shutting those out, she also cut herself off from more positive emotions like happiness. Instead, Daniyah prioritizes peace, moments when she doesn’t feel like she’s failing someone, or being judged. Daniyah is at her most peaceful when she’s reading. She’s always been able to lose herself in books, whether fiction or non-fiction, and reading has a calming affect on her, as it’s something her mother did with her often before her death.
