Daniyah has the sleep schedule of an old lady, thanks to the years she spent living with her great aunt in Bulgaria. She goes to bed early and gets up early. She’s also been know to take midday naps, particularly if she’s gearing up for a mission for the order that will keep her out past her bed time.

The short answer is, not very. Daniyah tells herself that she doesn’t want friends, and that’s why she doesn’t have any, but the truth is she doesn’t really know how. She spent so much of her childhood pretending to be someone she wasn’t that the only people she attracted were people she had no interest in befriending. Being yourself and being vulnerable is a necessary prerequisite to building relationships with people, and Daniyah is still learning how to do that and until she’s figured it out, it will be difficult for her to connect with people.

Daniyah isn’t much of one for happiness. Growing up with her father was easier when she didn’t feel negative emotions, and in the process of shutting those out, she also cut herself off from more positive emotions like happiness. Instead, Daniyah prioritizes peace, moments when she doesn’t feel like she’s failing someone, or being judged. Daniyah is at her most peaceful when she’s reading. She’s always been able to lose herself in books, whether fiction or non-fiction, and reading has a calming affect on her, as it’s something her mother did with her often before her death.
