I think I’ve told y’all how knots are glands at the base of the dick and swell when aroused. I would like to add that all dynamics have another set of scent glands that are part of their reproductive system. Depending on your anatomy, this’ll be why you have a knot or can produce so much slick.

In Beta’s however, it’ll only serve as a scent gland to help strengthen a bond between them and their potential mate because they don’t do so in the way an a/o relationship would.

They’re also more selective with potential mates, Beta’s tend to want equal ground relationships so they take their time to find a partner best suited for them so strengthening an intimate partnership through sex makes sense when they’re so careful about who they choose.

Aka capable of getting what they want via “I’m baby though” argument and Alpha caretaking instincts go “compelling argument, you are in fact baby”.

Depending on how early socialization went for that Omega, they may use it sparingly or they may use their cute for evil and personal gain, at least according to the Alpha pack mates who deal with them.

Betas are fairly indifferent most of the time. The ones who aren’t either find it hilarious and go along with it just for the hell of it, gently scold the guilty Omegas because they know better, sometimes just call the Alphas out on their simp behavior because they definitely know what the Omegas are up to and fall for it every time.

For this we are going with the idea that Omegas were treated like prey by Alphas in pre-historic days. Back then packs were mostly Omegas and Betas since Alpha were considered too dangerous to allow in as their methods of gaining a mate was by hunting them down and bonding them once caught if they liked them enough.

As a result some Omegas started developing characteristics that allowed them to fight off predators and Alphas a like. These were your prime Omegas and they often took on roles similar to modern day Alphas in their packs. Providing protection and secure access to found resources.

They were so difficult for the Alphas of the time to claim that they started rapidly evolving to keep up with them and that’s how their primes came into existence.

I’m still working on how to bridge the gap of time from first development to modern day, maybe I’ll have it be something theorized on so I can give myself an out lol. But I’m thinking overtime packs started trusting Alphas and saw how good they are as leaders so the need for a prime Omega dwindled and naturally so did prime Alphas. That’s why both are rare but still exist in modern days.

Oh! And an apex Alpha is a “standard” Alpha who’s more in tuned with and in control of their instincts. They’re made through hard work self reflection not born

First for those who are new to my content I don’t write abo in the typical way, here’s more info if you want it, but it can be boiled down to everything is more about scents and social behaviors than physical characteristics, though basics like nesting, bonding heats and ruts are still included.

Now as for dragons! You’re in luck because I love world/lore building and have a way I’ve structured dragon courtship, nesting, and even fantasy logic gestation of eggs!

Instead of packs, dragons have colonies that functions similar to cats. So mostly independent but willing to rely on each other to find food, safe resting areas, or just to bring up their hatchlings since there’s safety in numbers.

Dens are the caves an Alpha claims for themself to live in after extensive checks for resource and personal security, if they’ve done a good job and gather a pleasing horde they may attract the attention of an Omega.

To an Omega the horde the Alpha collects serves two purposes, two be a good source of potential nesting material and seeing how good of a provider they are in general. If they deem them a good option and like them enough they’ll offer their prized possession to add to the horde. If accepted this starts courtship.

In general it’s grooming each other and hunting together as a show of trust. Sometimes it’ll be play fights and storytelling. Really anything they think will help understand each other better they’re gonna try it

Now, the egg laying thing. This one is very heavy on fantasy logic doesn’t make sense in any other context then it’s basically magic.
