My brother really wants a cat, but I'm worried about my pet cockatiel. I can try to keep my bedroom door closed, of course, but there's always the chance of an accident... What do you think? Is it possible to have a cat and a parrot safely in the same house?

After doing some research, I’m sorry to say that, while I think it’s possible, there would be so much trial and error involved that I can’t in good conscience recommend it.
But I know how brothers and parents can be. I have a feeling that if he wants a cat bad enough he’ll get a cat.

Also, an interesting solution I found was to suspend the cage from the ceiling, where the cats had no way of jumping to it. I’m not sure you’d be allowed to do that, but do keep it in mind!
Okay so my old car had no way for me to listen to my music on my iPhone. Now I’ve got a new car with an auxiliary port so MUSIC WHILE DRIVING! But I still haven’t yet made a secondary driving playlist for when I’m out with someone whose tastes are less broad than mine, like my boss, so that’s still silent. So we were driving around and I made the mistake of telling her how excited I was to be able to listen to music in my car now, and she wanted to hear some of my music
Well hell. I made sure to start on a mellow song because I notice iTunes does this thing on Shuffle where it usually plays songs that sound like each other somehow and hoped we wouldn’t be in the car long enough for it to veer off track. But then it hit a patch of metal songs, so at a red light I was trying to skip through them all, and then right as the light turned green I landed on this song.
I was fucking mortified but I didn’t have time to keep skipping so I tried to make a joke out of it like, “Okay then I guess we’re going with this” followed by “please don’t judge me”
But then she was like “omg I love it it’s got such a great beat!!!!” and I glanced over and she was dancing in her seat just so fucking happy
And that’s the story of how I got a 65-year-old woman with Parkinson’s into dance pop
Okay, just an update, those of you that I've promised things too, I haven't forgotten! I've just been enjoying my first sequence of days off in a while. I've got a couple more days before I go back to work, so tomorrow it's back to being productive!

Well, there are a couple things you'll need to tell your human to do! First, you're going to need a distraction that doesn't make everybody nervous! A great replacement will be to have a bird feeder set up at your favorite window so you can watch that instead! And if they set it up close enough and at eye level, it'll be a lot more fun than trying to watch the bird cage, which must take more effort!!! Everyone wins!
If that alone isn't going to make you be able to resist watching the birdies in your friend's room, your friend is going to have to find a way to break your line of sight without making the birds have to pay for it. There are a lot of ways this could be done!!! Get creative!!!
Friend human and I dunno much about bird care, but would there be a way to put up some kind of one-way mirror material so you don't see them, but they can still see out their cage? It's a little expensive, but that way everyone wins!!! Again!
It might also help for them to move the cage once they've got it so you can't see inside it anymore! That way it's a little less at the forefront of your mind!

No... Not unless it's one specific beach and very early in the morning. I get sunburned so easily even with sunscreen, especially with the waves washing off the sunscreen. I'm also very anxious about people seeing me and there being nowhere to cave when it gets too much.
