The final issue of the comic miniseries Hawkgirl: Once Upon a Galaxy (originally released as Hawkgirl [2023]) revealed some interesting new details about the background of everyone's favorite Cyandii, which author Jadzia Axelrod elaborated upon via Bluesky posts: although not born on Earth, Taylor has been included in Jewish traditions since arriving on this planet at age ten and is a culturally Jewish alien. Since her partner Kat is also Jewish, that makes their Metropolis apartment a good gathering place for Hanukkah.
