But isn't it also wonderful that John Greene would add characters that aren't drop dead gorgeous, and have problems like people in this world, no one every really touches on mental illness in books the main characters are always just normal and going through pointless shit. John Greene actually takes the time to write about girl who are not perfect and turn them into perfect. Hazel was dying, but lost the love of her life before she died. Meaning theyd have each other in heaven. I'm out of room
i agree with you there, i feel like not a lot of people fully understand mental illness in writing so they dont address it, but i dont feel like it’s pointless if someone doesn’t go through it
but i don’t like the perfect/imperfect idea tbh. his character’s are a little romanticised but i wouldnt call them perfect, whether he thinks they are or not is yet to be determined
