"You do know it's the real deal, right? You can't be serious that's all you want to pay for this." Abel tried to keep his voice down, but the high pitch was coming out of him, perhaps due to a bit of the urgency of the matter. And the thrill of doing something of the sorts. He put the cloth over the object again - it was an old dagger, as old as the city they had decided to meet on; maybe even older than his own bloodline. Its weight on his lap did nothing to hide his impatience though. That and all his reign so he could just go away and meet his destiny. "Allen, come on, you told me I could count on you. Do you know what sort of trouble I'd be in if my dad finds out I took the dagger?" He was back at whispering, but the urgency had not left his face. He felt like a criminal, and well, maybe that's what he was. But ever since he told his dad the real reason why he did not want that marriage, things had been going from worse to well, even worse than that. He leaned back on the fancy couch, looking up at the ceiling over his head. Abel could feel that little ball in him diminishing - this was his hope to get out and it was going away. "This amount of money would hardly cover the bribe I need to pay for my dad's soldiers." His money had been taken away, as well as his jewels and everything he could offer for someone's help. "Allen, we used to be friends, didn't we? You used to look after me." He hated begging, but if that was what it took. "Please?"
