#abe ran

Ran Abe is five feet and three inches of exhausted when she walks in at 8 AM, ordering her ever-routine Jamoca Frappuccino with two pumps of espresso and extra whip cream to cover the taste of the espresso. She has short platinum blonde hair that is all over her face––she didn’t care to brush it until training started. She has tan skin, lighter than Izuku’s own, and freckles dotting her face and hands. Her eyes are slightly glazed over from sleep, the brown-blue heterochromia warm despite the rest of the girl’s demeanor. Her eyes light up at the sight of him, and Izuku tries not to read into it too much.

Every time she walks in, Ochako or Shinsou part from their place at the register and leave it open to him. The rush hour has died by this point until 9:30 AM rolls around, so the café is empty enough that only Ochako and Shinsou are there to see Izuku’s face flush and his expression light up at the sight of Ran.

Ran was a part of the local police academy, training to become a detective, and any time before 11 AM was too early for her. Izuku would always offer her the same flustered grin, rattling off a good morning that was much more personalized than it was with any other customer, and Ran would offer him a tired, dorky smile and order.

Izuku’s heart skipped a beat every time he saw that smile. It was probably dangerous for his health that he saw it as often as he did.

A Barista AU I have in mind!! Izuku, Ochako, and Shinsou work at Mighty All Café to pay off various expenses. This is a Normal AU, so everyone has normal hair colors unless dyed (like Kirishima’s). Ran works with Kirishima as a police-officer-in-training, and they’d just finished their jog when they stop by Ran’s favorite café. 

Normal AU colors below the cute (Ran is an albino but her hair is white in the normal BNHA world and more of a platinum blonde in the Barista AU. The sparkle effects lose the blonde lol):
