Holy shit what a huge difference in Girl Scout cookie bakery tastes. So, for those that don’t know Girl Scouts use two different bakeries and depending where you live in the US, you get either ABC bakery cookies or Little Brownie Bakers. I grew up with Little Brownie Bakers and can eat an entire box of thin mints in like 5 minutes. This year I ordered from a Girl Scout in the ABC bakery region (they have Thanks-a-lots which I only had once because my dad bought some from out of state years ago, LBB don’t have them). Anyway so I got my thin mints from them this year too and didn’t notice the slight difference in packaging. I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t barreling thru the package, I ate like 4 and was able to put it away and thought wow, maybe I’ve outgrown them, they don’t taste that great anymore. Which was shocking. So I just watched a video about how different the cookies from each bakery are and since my boyfriend picked me up thin mints locally I decided to try it for myself. Holy fucking shit those are 2 very different cookies in deceivingly similar boxes. Opening the ones bought locally I’m almost halfway done with them (per usual) and looking at the box and a half of ABC thin mints like wtf am I gonna do with you and shot I only have a few weeks to track down LBB thin mints. I still wanna order more Thanks a lots from ABC bakers but damn will I never make that thin mint mistake. Yikes! I just need a little gangsta Girl Scout who hustles for both bakers so I can get my little brownie baker thin mints and ABC baker Thanks-a-lots and both wildly different s’mores versions.
I just cannot BELIEVE half the country suffers with subpar thin mints, I’m so sorry you guys.
