Abamune 300 is used as part of an anti-HIV drug regimen for treating HIV-1. One tablet consists of abacavir sulfate, equivalent to 300 mg of abacavir. The drug should be supplemented with other antiretroviral drugs to prevent the development of HIV-1 before AIDS.

Abamune 300 mg Tablet is an antiviral medicine which is used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. This medicine is not a cure for HIV. It only prevents the virus from multiplying in your body. Monitoring of liver function and blood glucose levels is necessary while receiving this medicine.
