Hathphool

Hathphool refers to the term “hand flower” and this terminology originated in India. Hathphool describes a piece of jewellery that is a hand ornament which is a part of the bridal trousseau; it has five rings – one for each finger and the thumb, each ring is attached to a chain which, in turn, is connected to a bracelet that goes around the wrist.
(Meena Kumari donning the haathphool ornament in a still from a film; image courtesy of Cinestaan.) The five rings are said to represent five Indian Goddesses who would provide any sort of protection as required by the family of the bride in times of dire need. Later on, these rings were simply said to stand for the bonds of holy matrimony. The rings were connected to chains and a central floral design or medallion of some sort that covers the top of the hand.

Sometimes the left thumb ring would have a mirror worked into the design which is known as an “Aarsi” and the purpose of the aarsi was to give the bride a glimpse of the groom because the veil covering her face would prove to be a hindrance.

A lot of recent times, I think of the tabletop games I am with friends and I'm now I'm just in a constant doodle time with both of my characters. The one on the left is The Wanderer when he was a human (I originally had this character in this campaign be like an AU but it's slowly becoming canon as his upbringing as to what he is today). A dark skinned guy that has a bolted helmet and doesn't remember anything about his past and travels the post-apocalyptic world of earth (though the entire time we have been in Egypt) and tries to be friends with pretty much everybody they meet and constantly worried about the group's welling (he just doesn't want to lose the only group of people he's got really attached too but he's trying to tone it down a notch ). The one on the right is Aarsi from a different campaign that deals with traveling in space and aliens man. Aarsi is a being made out glass and wishes to be the best healer among the stars. She is surprisingly very strong despite of what she is made of... So she decided to travel with a group that when they go to place to place, people from there will hear the name.. Of the Great Aarsi~ And yeah that's it pretty much a general summary of them both! And I hope you guys like these silly doodles!
Inktober- Day 2 So this one i made shortly after the first one because I do have work and homework I want to focus on later in the day. So for a bit of context of what's going on! This character ( who I haven't probably introduced) names Aarsi who I have in a tabletop rpg with a few friends, is a being made out of glass and travels with space with a few other people. During in one of the sessions, her arm and a small portion of her head got cracked/damaged during a fight. Then in a later session, she received a fortune from a fortune teller telling of how a glass being who heals will shatter/ break apart. So to wrap it up, Aarsi is now even more freaked out by the possibility she will shatter.. Starting with her already damaged arm.
