The anxiety is born of the question, “What is my voice going to do today?”. With so much obsession on getting signed, gaining social media followers, or making it onto a TV show, there is a hurried sense of “I need to be good, FAST.” As such, there’s not enough emphasis on simply DOING THE WORK. Over the past 16 years I’ve seen it countless times - singers will settle for “good enough”, in hopes that their image, music production, etc. will fill in the gaps. But they haven’t done the work of truly developing a solid and reliable vocal technique. So intense anxiety ensues anytime there’s a live performance or recording session. _________________________________________________ My philosophy is that vocal training is largely about developing a relationship of trust with your body, training in such a way that you can rest assured that the clarity, power, and high notes will all be there for you ...even if you’re nervous. ...or sick. ...or sleep deprived. If that trust is established through training, you can then perform from an authentically confident place of, “I want to share this with you.” There’s no magical shortcut for this. You simply have to do the work. And it’s worth the effort, because then you can PLAY! 🙌🏽 #AApproach #HealYourVoice #BuildYourVoice https://www.instagram.com/p/B711PuSh0zF/?igshid=a68wzigmh98m
