Ok so recently I’ve been thinking a lot about my sci fi world and my silly aliens, right?
I’ve been focusing a lot on Aakaks and with the recent developments I’ve been doing on passing names, naming conventions are on my mind.
Because the practice of passing names is from the northern aristocratic societies… I’ve been thinking about what interaction with a southern aakak might be like with the trouble of conflicting social norms.
Southern aakaks are very diverse (to put it shortly), but they don’t practice passing names like northern aakaks do.
I do figure perhaps with the nomadic types they’re maybe heard of it a bit more- and an aakak from that culture might find more ease in adopting the practice if they feel it. Especially when it comes to northern diplomats with their textbook-fulls of niche practices that its important you follow during meetings.
