There's been a vague posting debate on tumblr between on one side those who argue that hating on men is bio essentialist and wrong, with terf implications VS those who argue that to say as such is anti feminist and policing women venting about oppression.
These are the opposite extremes on this discourse and both have points imo but also seem seriously lacking...like either one seems at risk of being what the other is accusing it of. The former, without guardrails, can turn into "not all men", and telling women to shut up if they're offending their oppressors. The latter, without guardrails, can turn into blatant transphobia, amongst other things.
Idk if I'm making any sense...it feels like either side can go too far and both need to taken into consideration, to some degree. It's frustrating though and I often feel like whatever someone says on this topic, it's seriously missing something that I can't put my finger on...
