helllooooooo first of all thank you! second, YES I am writing him with a combination of depression and CPTSD that stems from both his complex relationship with his parents and a specific situation he was in as a teen that will be revealed soon
#Iāve been hinting at The Event in previous chapters but not heavily#weāre seeing this story through Thomasā eyes and I donāt think he thinks about this event unless heās forced to#but it impacts his mind so violently that it mutates into these manic episodes so he can avoid thinking about it#I also donāt think that he would necessarily view what happens to him as abuse So even if he does think about The Event#it doesnāt necessarily register to him as a triggering event#he just views it as something that happened to him rather than a traumatic event#which is why he never really thinks about it and why we havenāt necessarily āheardā him think about it in the fic#but Itll come up eventually as he needs to process it to proceed with living#sorry can you tell Iāve thought a lot about this lmao#aaaanywayyyyy
